Head of Partnerships - CleanTech & Energy

  • Build and lead Genie AI’s partnerships strategy in the CleanTech and Energy sectors

  • You will learn how AI can reduce contract friction, accelerate deal-making, and cut costs in energy and climate-focused industries

  • You’ll unlock Genie AI’s potential in some of the world’s most critical industries. By forming partnerships with energy providers, CleanTech firms, and industry associations, you’ll help organisations transition faster, save millions on legal processes, and reduce risk in high-stakes projects

Your purpose in our mission

We’ve raised $17.8 million in Series A funding led by Google Ventures and joined by Khosla Ventures. They believe in our vision that the law should be accessible to everyone, and this is where your skills will open doors in CleanTech and Energy, two industries where speed, compliance, and innovation matter most.

This is what you’ll be doing

As Head of Partnerships - CleanTech & Energy at Genie AI you’ll be joining us in a dynamic stage of our growth. Building alliances in highly regulated, mission-driven industries is complex but incredibly rewarding.

  • Partnership strategy: Define and lead Genie’s partnership approach across CleanTech and Energy markets.
  • Strategic alliances: Build relationships with utilities, renewables firms, accelerators, and associations.
  • Go-to-market enablement: Co-create joint value propositions and go-to-market motions with partners.
  • Revenue growth: Deliver new business opportunities through partnerships that drive pipeline and ARR.
  • Sector advocacy: Position Genie as a thought leader in legal AI for CleanTech and Energy.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Product to shape features for energy and sustainability clients.


This is how we’ll set you up for success and the outcomes we expect from you

Over your first 90 days you can expect us to help point you in the right direction to set you up for success. During the interview process we can talk you through a high level overview of your 90 day plan.

By the end of your first six months we expect you to be:
  • Secure at least 2–3 high-impact partnerships with major energy or CleanTech players
  • Deliver a repeatable framework for evaluating, closing, and managing partnerships
  • Build a strong pipeline of co-marketing and joint sales opportunities.
We’ll continually develop and measure success on the below criteria:
  • Number and quality of strategic partnerships established
  • Revenue influence and pipeline contribution from partnerships
  • Brand presence in CleanTech & Energy ecosystems.

We are a start up in an exceptionally dynamic stage of our growth. We are a customer and employee led organisation. What this means is that we adapt to our customers' needs, and the problems we’re solving today could be very different in six months, or even by the end of this recruitment process. We also listen to our team as we empower you to have full autonomy of your role - you're the expert. You should expect to work with us on how your role develops, grows and changes throughout your time at Genie.

It can be tough here because

  • CleanTech and Energy have long cycles and complex stakeholder networks
  • We’re still building playbooks – you’ll be creating much of the process
  • Priorities can change quickly as we adapt to customer and partner needs.

The skills you need to succeed in this role

  • Proven experience in partnerships, alliances, or business development at senior level.
  • Background in SaaS, CleanTech, or Energy markets
  • Strong network of decision-makers in utilities, renewables, or CleanTech ecosystems
  • Excellent commercial acumen and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to build frameworks and processes in a fast-moving startup environment.
