About the Product Team and the Role
“Every once in a while, a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything.” - Steve Jobs
This is your opportunity to be a part of a team that is building the world’s most advanced AI-enabled clinical and workflow assistant for fetal imaging.
The product team plays a crucial role in identifying and representing the clinical needs, laying the foundation to design and build the solution, and finally transforming a solution to a product. Being a part of the product team means you play a highly cross-functional role by collaborating with external stakeholders such as radiologists, sonographers, fetal-medicine specialists, and even hospital IT members, and at the same time work across teams within the organization to convey your analyses, ideas, and thoughts effectively and co-develop an impactful product that is highly valuable, effective, efficient, and exactly what a customer needs.
As a member of the Product team you’ll be working to design solutions that address the products business and user needs. As a key-designer you will have the opportunity to create a flagship product that can seamlessly work in the healthcare environment, by crafting the design of our tech products. You will also work with clinicians and our development teams to ensure we transform our technology solutions into delightful product experiences.
What will you do?
- User and design research: Understand the healthcare ecosystem, have opinions on how the product should evolve, substantiated with analyses or user research. Participate and conduct user-research and user-testing studies to understand needs and pain points, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prototyping: Collaborate with the clinicians, and engineering teams, to create prototypes that demonstrate user flows or other materials to communicate ideas and shape the development of features. Build functional prototypes to validate and test your designs.
- Visual Design: Design and establish the aesthetics of our product and its related materials by strategically implementing images, colors, fonts, and other elements, according to the user type.
- Enhancing user experience: Plan, conduct, and analyze usability tests, including designing test scenarios, moderating sessions, and interpreting results to provide actionable recommendations for product improvement. Define key usability metrics and implement analytics tools to track user behavior, interactions, and engagement with digital products. Employ statistical analysis software to quantitatively analyze usability data and derive meaningful insights for product improvement.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelors or Masters in Product Design with expertise in interaction design
- Interested in working in the health tech industry
- Basic technical experience
- Familiar with user-centric and HCI design principles, UX methodologies, and best practices
- Ability to convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, or prototypes
- A digital portfolio that demonstrates the design process and exhibits a good understanding of design thinking and systems.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous dedication to proper delivery and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment but also have the ability to work independently and take ownership of design projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Proficiency in analyzing usability results, heatmaps, and statistical/analytical tools.
- Good communication skills (oral, written, and listening) in order to articulate design issues effectively.
- Creation and maintenance of regulatory-relevant design and product documentation.
Working at Origin Medical Research Lab
- You will receive training, along with continuous guidance and mentorship from team members. Additionally, you’ll receive guidance and support from the founders in your career goals, helping you to develop your skills and build your professional network.
- You will be given the opportunity to work with renowned clinicians, AI scientists, and business leaders from around the world.
- Get a head start in unlocking the power of your leadership DNA. Discover your strengths as you take on challenges that will prepare you for leading the way in making a difference.
- You will receive industry standard monthly stipend and promising candidates will be given a conditional full-time job offer at the end of three months.
