What You'll Do
  • Perform routine gene cloning to construct plasmids for recombinant protein expression in E. coli.
  • Carry out gel electrophoresis for DNA and protein analysis.
  • Purify and characterize recombinant proteins using standard biochemical techniques.
  • Culture microbial strains using plates, tubes, and shake flasks.
  • Conduct biotransformation and bioconversion experiments with our engineered strains.
  • Perform analytical assays to quantify substrates, products, and intermediates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date experimental records.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, data reviews, and project reporting.
What You'll Need
  • A BS or MS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (academic research, internship, or equivalent).
  • Practical experience with molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression, and biotransformation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of protein expression systems and/or protein engineering principles is highly desirable.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as spectrophotometers, HPLC, or GC is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot experiments effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
  • An enthusiasm for learning new techniques and a strong curiosity for biochemistry and enzymology.
  • A self-motivated, systematic, and collaborative mindset.

If you are passionate about applying your scientific skills to create a sustainable impact and are eager to grow in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to join the Allozymes team!
