About the role of AI Founding Engineer at Assuric
We are seeking a highly motivated and technical AI Founding Engineer to join our amazing team and support with building out end-to-end features for our customers, with a focus on our AI stack, This will be fun, fast-paced, and highly rewarding!
We are the first compliance platform specialised for health. It’s a $10B+ opportunity to transform how healthcare companies handle compliance. Think of us as Vanta meets Notion for healthtech.
What You'll Do
Own and scale our core AI architecture including agentic workflows, embeddings, and low latency chat backing several core product features.
Build secure, high-availability infrastructure whilst meeting our high bar for engineering standards
Design observable and maintainable AI interference tooling and evals
Work across the stack: backend, frontend, AI devops
Drive new product features end-to-end from idea to deploy
Collaborate closely with the founders on product strategy, technical direction, and customer feedback

What We're Looking For
A strong fullstack engineer comfortable working at a fast-paced startup
Proficiency in Typescript, NextJS and GCP
2-3 years minimum proven industry experience building production systems - ideally in B2B SaaS
Minimum 1 year experience working on a production AI product
Strong proficiency with AI coding tools and bias towards agentic workflows and devops
Experience with backend system design. Preference towards GCP (Vertex AI and Firebase) experience.
Bonus: experience with compliance-heavy domains (e.g., healthtech, fintech, security)
Strong judgment, high agency, and comfort with ambiguity
