Clinical Training Lead

Lead Asterix's Clinical Training: scale accreditation, build online onboarding, and deliver scalable, high‑quality remote GP support that gets patients seen faster.

We usually respond within three days

What We're All About at Asterix

To fix the biggest problem in healthcare: there are not enough doctors, and the system can no longer keep up. Millions of patients wait weeks for appointments. Millions more are stuck on hospital waitlists. Health conditions that can be prevented are missed and go unnoticed and we at Asterix are building the only scalable solution. We're already making money and partnering with some huge GP practices, collectively looking after over 250,000 patients!

We are creating a new model of care where highly-qualified doctors are augmented by AI: safely, consistently, and measurably. The DoctorOS, our emerging clinical platform, is becoming the backbone of modern healthcare delivery. We combine rigorous clinical leadership, technology adapted for real-world care, and AI tooling that makes doctors 10x more productive.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is split into two main, exciting chunks:

Getting Doctors Ready (50% of your time)

  • Running our structured, four-week accreditation programme for new doctors joining Asterix.

  • Delivering training, giving helpful feedback on how they're doing clinically, and formally signing them off as ready to treat real patients, all up to our high standards.

Building for the Future (50% of your time)

  • Designing and rolling out the training systems we need to go from training three doctors a month to over thirty within a year. This means:

    • Making Onboarding Smart: Turning the current one-on-one training into flexible, online modules and interactive simulations that doctors can complete without constant supervision.

    • Cutting Down Queries: Creating amazing clinical guides and resources so our operations team can solve 80% of everyday clinical questions on their own.

    • Ensuring Top Quality: Developing solid assessment methods and checks to make sure clinical care stays consistently excellent as we grow.

The Goal: We’ll know you’re succeeding when new doctors fly through the accreditation process with minimal hand-holding, all while maintaining our current, top-tier clinical quality. You’ll own this whole function, from planning the strategy to making it happen.

Who You'll Work With

You’ll report straight to Max (our Co-founder & COO). You’ll also work closely across the team with Farah (Clinical Operations Lead) and Dr. Dan Bunstone (Chief Medical Officer).

Your Career Path

Yes, this is initially covering maternity leave, but it’s a seriously high-impact, critical role. You’ll take ownership and completely shape our clinical accreditation function during a super-important period of company growth. Honestly, there’s a really strong chance this will turn into a permanent role as we keep expanding.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • At least three years of clinical experience in NHS primary care (clinical pharmacist, nurse, advanced nurse practitioner, or resident doctor).

  • You know your way around core clinical systems like EMIS and SystmOne.

  • You love taking ownership and are proactive about solving new, tricky problems.

  • You're motivated to build systems that scale, not just do the direct service delivery yourself.

  • You're excited to work in a mission-driven, fast-paced team where the expectations are high.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points!):

  • You've trained and given feedback to other clinicians before.

  • You have experience managing a team or working in an operations role.

  • You’ve handled CQC compliance for a healthcare provider, maybe as a Registered Manager.

  • Experience with telehealth or the health technology world.

Our Culture – The Asterix Way

We’re an early-stage company trying to totally change modern healthcare, so we need real commitment and dedication. The pace here will be fast and at times intense with ambitious delivery targets. You will thrive and achieve an amazing career if this excites you but if you are at the stage of your career where you want a traditional 9-5 job....this is not for you.

In return, we’ll back you completely and aim to give you a massive opportunity to grow professionally. In just a year, you’ll have successfully delivered a training programme that has accredited over 80 doctors.

Perks and Benefits

  • Salary: £55,000–£65,000, plus you'll get a piece of the company (equity).

  • Private medical and dental insurance (Bupa).

  • 28 days of holiday, plus bank holidays.

  • Brand new office in Shoreditch (Old Street) with its own on-site gym!

  • Standard five days in the office, but we can be flexible if operations allow.

  • Your choice of a MacBook and all the accessories you need.

  • Regular team social events and offsite trips.
