About Asterix
We're solving the biggest problem in healthcare: the shortage of qualified doctors.
Millions of patients wait weeks for appointments. Millions more are stuck on hospital waitlists. Preventable conditions are missed and go unnoticed.
Asterix is building the only scalable solution. We are a remote healthcare services provider, and the only company approved to work with GPs delivering NHS care remotely from abroad. Our doctors are augmented by best-in-class technology to make safer, more consistent clinical decisions. Our DoctorOS platform combines rigorous clinical leadership, real-world healthcare workflows and AI tooling that makes doctors 10x more productive.
Asterix was founded by Julian and Max, who met at Entrepreneurs First. We're backed by Triple Point, D2, Entrepreneur First and Basis Capital, and our approach was featured in the NHS 10 Year Health Plan. We're deployed at some of the largest healthcare providers in the UK, covering over 430,000 patients, generating revenue and scaling fast.
Your mission at Asterix
You'll build and run Customer Success at Asterix, from sales handover to renewal. Our Medical Operations team own the practice relationships day-to-day and will report to you. The service works and practices love having Asterix GPs on their team. Your job is to make that repeatable: the operating model, the metrics and the team that let us go from 4 to 10+ new customers launched a month without the experience slipping.
What you'll own
The operating model. Define the performance and health management rhythm across the customer journey: pilot, go-live, ongoing delivery, renewal and expansion.
Playbooks and SOPs. Write and deliver the internal and external playbooks, including onboarding, monthly reporting, headcount planning and the feedback loops that track account health.
Metrics. Build the account health score and own adoption, retention, churn and NRR across the book.
The Medical Operations team. Line manage, coach and develop the team to deliver an industry-leading customer experience, and shape how it grows.
Continuous improvement. Turn customer feedback into changes to how we deliver the service across every account.
Who you'll work with
You'll report to Max (Co-founder & COO) and line manage the Medical Operations team. You'll work closely with Julian (Co-founder & CEO) on sales and customer experience, Dr Harriet Bradley (Medical Director) on clinical and governance, and Jamil (Delivery Operations Manager) on GP supply-side operations.
Who you are
You've built customer success before, at an early-stage, high-growth health or healthtech company, and you know what it takes to build from scratch: you set up the function, owned it end to end and grew it alongside the business. You thrive in the detail (onboarding playbooks, SOPs, KPIs, renewal health) without losing sight of retention, expansion and customers who become advocates.
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have 7+ years in customer success or operations, including building and leading a CS function at a healthtech startup or scaleup.
Have scaled a function through a step change in volume, and can say what broke and what you changed.
Are fluent in customer success metrics: adoption, churn, retention, NRR, health scores.
Have "productised" operations: taken a growing service and built the structures, blueprints and SOPs a growing team needs.
Have strong commercial acumen for service economics, and can communicate it.
Use AI, automation and analytics tooling as a matter of course.
Make grounded decisions on imperfect information and challenge senior colleagues when a trade-off is wrong.
Nice to have:
NHS primary care experience, or customers in primary care. You'll be working with GP practices, PCNs and federations every day, and we'll get you deep on how they work.
Experience with clinical services rather than pure SaaS.
Why join us
You'll have an outsized impact on the trajectory of the company. This is a role where you have the trust, ownership and scope to solve complex customer-facing problems your way, and you'll learn more, faster, than anywhere else.
Purpose and pace. This is a once-in-a-generation shot to solve the biggest problem in healthcare, and we're the only company in the country approved to do it. We move fast, work with intensity and execute without compromise.
No friction. We cover whatever tools or resources you need to move fast.
A tight-knit team. We work hard because we care, but we also laugh a lot, eat together and back each other completely.
This is the role that owns the customer function as we grow from 450,000 to 10,000,000+ patients.
Our culture: the Asterix way
Humble. We assume we're wrong until the data or a clinician proves otherwise. Curiosity over ego, always.
High-intensity, founder mentality. You don't wait for permission. You push problems to resolution and act like an owner. This isn't a 9-to-5.
Joyful energy. We take the work seriously, not ourselves. We celebrate progress, support each other and keep the energy high.
In-person by design. We work shoulder-to-shoulder in London. It makes us faster, tighter and better.
We're an early-stage company with massive ambition. The pace is fast, with ambitious delivery targets. You'll thrive if this excites you; if you want a traditional 9-to-5, this role isn't for you.
