About Belidor
We're building the intelligence layer for construction, an AI-native software that accelerates the rate of design and construction 100x. Starting with bid leveling for US General Contractors, we're creating tools that transform preconstruction teams from data entry managers into data-driven decision-makers.
Named after Bernard Forest de Bélidor, the 18th-century engineer who helped transform engineering from art into science, we're applying that same rigor to construction. We're a small, ambitious team collaborating closely with the industry to solve real problems while building toward a future where projects move from concept to completion in days, not years.

Founders with deep AI + B2B track records: ex-Google Deepmind AI product/ B2B GTM experience (scaled B2B from $0 → $10M ARR) and ex‑BCG X Lead Data Scientist (built production AI for industry leaders)

Multiple design partners with live pilots and data‑sharing agreements; strong US pipeline and active onsite sessions with General Contractors.
The Role
We're looking for a rare combination: someone who has lived the daily reality of preconstruction and is excited to shape the technology that will transform it.
You'll be our bridge between construction reality and product possibility. You've spent 3+ years in the trenches as an Estimator or in preconstruction at a US General Contractor. You know the unwritten rules, the workarounds, the moments of friction that compound into lost time and money. You understand what bid day actually feels like.
Now, you want to be hands-on in building the tools you wish you'd had.
About the role
Product Development & Testing
Translate your preconstruction expertise into product requirements and feature specifications
Test early product builds with the critical eye of someone who has actually done the work
Identify the gaps between what we're building and what will actually work for precon teams
Help us understand the nuances that separate useful software from abandoned subscriptions
Sales & Business Development
Join the Founders and speak estimator-to-estimator with prospective customers
Conduct product demonstrations that showcase real understanding of their daily challenges
Build relationships with preconstruction teams at General Contractors across the US
Represent Belidor with the Founders at industry events and conferences
Account Management
Onboard new customers with the credibility and empathy of someone who has been in their shoes
Gather feedback that goes beyond surface-level feature requests to understand root causes
Identify opportunities to expand usage within existing accounts
Be a trusted advisor our customers call when they need guidance
Customer Success
Provide technical support that addresses not just the software question but the underlying workflow challenge
Create training materials, best practices, and documentation grounded in real-world experience
Build case studies that demonstrate tangible ROI in language that resonates with preconstruction leaders
Champion customer needs internally to shape product roadmap priorities
What We're Looking For
Required:
3+ years of hands-on experience in preconstruction at a US General Contractor, ideally as an Estimator
Deep understanding of bid leveling, bid management, scope generation, estimating and takeoff processes
Fluency in the tools of the trade: spreadsheets, estimating software, plan reading, spec interpretation
Experience across multiple project types (commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, etc.)
Genuine excitement about technology and its potential to transform construction
Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and wearing multiple hats
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical construction knowledge for different audiences
Self-starter who can identify problems and drive solutions without extensive direction
Bonus:
Experience with construction technology implementation or evaluation
Relationships within the GC community that could accelerate our market entry
Understanding of AI/ML concepts or experience using AI tools in your work
Background in sales, customer success, or product management
Not Required:
Computer science degree or coding experience (though curiosity about how software works is valuable)
Prior startup experience (though if you have it, you know what you're signing up for)

30-minute call with CEO to assess motivation and fit
A short take home case (1-2 hours of work) to assess your understanding of preconstruction tech products, your written communication, and your organization skills
60-minute live case over Zoom with both Cofounders to assess your product thinking
