years, with revenues increasing from £4m to £14m and we do not expect this to slow down any
time soon. Our growth is UK wide with European opportunities on the horizon so now is an
exciting time to join our team.

We currently operate 15 schemes across the UK and employ 155 people.

The role
The Finance Director reports into the CEO at Beryl and will act as one of the Senior Leadership team. You will be the primary contact supporting the business for financial affairs and be responsible for providing a great service. You will have ambition to drive the strategy of the business from the role of the Finance Director, including contribution and leadership to strategies that improve growth, profitability and access to sources of funding including revenue and capital markets.

You will act as a business partner for the CEO and the Senior Leadership team providing advice and guidance on ways to grow the business, manage cash flows, costs and improve processes. In addition, you will help maintain the relationships already in place with key stakeholders, investors, supply chain and customers.

The role is based out of our London HQ, in a hybrid capacity with a minimum requirement of 3 days in the office.


Responsibilities

  • Provide critical financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making -
    playing a key role in shaping the business objectives
  • Preparation of material for prospective investors, shareholders, finance providers
    including long term business plans, due diligence and/or integration activities
  • Overall responsibility for the Finance, HR and ESG functions
  • Prepare and present the annual budget, forecasts and rolling forecasts
  • Provide financial guidance and support for new tenders and bids
  • Responsible for the external annual audit process including R&D claims submissions
  • Manage cash balances, forecasts and any fundraising processes
  • Oversee all areas of financial management and reporting including monthly
    management accounts, billing, credit control, company payroll, quarterly VAT returns
    Implement internal controls and processes to ensure financial accuracy for achieving
    company wide goals
  • Business partner to CEO and COO to benchmark and ensure operational efficiency
    Leadership and guidance for 3 teams; Finance, HR & ESG - total team 6 with 3 direct
    reports.


Skills and experience
The ideal candidate should fulfil most of the list below, we know that ideal candidates rarely

  • Able to hit the ground running and with a trouble shooting attitude
  • Skilled at making wise accounting judgement and keen to deliver to regular financial
  • deadlines.
  • Previous reporting and cash flow management experience within a vibrant and varied
  • working environment.
  • Collaborative and skilled in gaining trust across multiple fast-moving non-financial
  • departments and projects.
  • Well organised, resourceful and effective in your working & communication style.
  • An eye for process and the desire to discover and implement improvements using
  • appropriate project and implementation methodology
  • Excellent Xero, MS Office and GSuite skills – we have them all!
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience in prior roles.
