DICOM Integration & Interoperability Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a DICOM expert with a strong background in medical imaging standards, data interoperability, and visualization optimization. The role involves ensuring seamless integration of advanced neuroimaging outputs into external platforms while maintaining the highest possible fidelity and resolution of results.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize compatibility of processed imaging datasets with third-party medical software systems (e.g., surgical guidance, treatment planning, or visualization platforms).
• Troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues across diverse DICOM implementations.
• Improve visualization quality and resolution of multi-modal neuroimaging data (dMRI, fMRI, etc.) within external environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance workflows for importing/exporting imaging results.
• Ensure compliance with DICOM standards and evolving best practices for cross-platform compatibility.
• Provide expert guidance on extending support to new clinical and research applications where imaging data needs to integrate with heterogeneous systems (such as RT planning tools, advanced visualization suites, etc.).

Requirements

• Deep expertise in DICOM standards, metadata, transfer syntaxes, and secondary captures.
• Proven track record of solving cross-platform compatibility issues in medical imaging.
• Hands-on experience with optimizing image resolution, overlays, and advanced visualization workflows.
• Familiarity with surgical navigation systems, planning software, or related imaging-based platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex imaging pipelines.
• Ability to work closely with software engineers and domain specialists in neuroimaging.
• Experience with integrating data into research and clinical workflows across multiple vendor systems.

Nice to Have

• Background in neuroimaging modalities (fMRI, dMRI) or other advanced imaging techniques.
