Your mission

In short: launch, shape and improve our business operations in India as the foundation for a globally successful tech company on its sustainability mission.

  • P&L responsibility for the entire Indian market and broader SEA region
  • Drive sales in brokering and/or trading recycled plastics in the region and internationally
  • Identify and acquire relevant suppliers and buyers of recycled plastics across the region
  • Challenge and improve the product strategy in close collaboration with our customers to achieve rapid adoption of our software in the SEA regionNavigate the legislative landscape in India for recycled plastics and leverage ensuing business opportunities
  • Represent Cirplus in all relevant business forums
  • Work in an organised, self-sufficient manner where decisions are based on meticulous market research and data analysis of customer interaction with the Cirplus platform
  • Build and manage an Indian sales team for Cirplus activities
  • Try, fail, learn, repeat! Getting into the mind of our customers and understanding the world of plastics and recycling, B2B marketplaces, procurement and sales in legacy industries.
Your profile
  • Proven experience as a start-up or company leader (Founder, COO, Managing Director or similar leadership role), ideally from early-stage to Series B.
  • Deep understanding of the plastics and recycling markets inside and outside India
  • Ambitious, curious, and intrinsically motivated person, who is eager to learn and push our tech to the next level
  • You follow & understand latest legislative and technological developments in India in the plastic and waste sector
  • You set priorities in your daily work schedule, are highly self-organized and you know when to pay close attention to details and when to move on.
  • You enjoy working in performance- and numbers-driven tech environments
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • You are open to frequent travelling to visit customers
  • A graduate degree in business, entrepreneurship, chemistry, plastic processing, environmental engineering or similar with outstanding academic record.
  • Previous experience in working in B2B-marketplaces or enterprise SaaS is a big plus
