Customer Success Manager (Maternity Cover)
Sales & Business Development, Customer Service · Full-time, Part-time
London, UK · Stockholm, Sweden · Europe · Remote
At Connect Earth, we're building the Sustainable Finance Operating System that helps banks, fintechs, and asset managers measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact.
Our technology turns complex ESG and carbon data into simple, actionable insight. It powers retail banking features that help customers understand their footprint, and enterprise tools that enable investors to meet regulatory requirements and invest responsibly.
Founded in 2021 and based in London, we are a small, fast-growing, remote-first team across Europe. We believe the financial system can be one of the strongest levers for climate action, and we're focused on building durable data infrastructure for a sustainable economy.
Your role
We're hiring a contract Customer Success Manager to look after our customer book while our Head of Customer Success is on parental leave. You'll own relationships on our Compliance platform, and contribute to relationship management for our banking customers in partnership with our CEO.
- ESG regulatory compliance & automation platform for asset managers and fund managers (SFDR/PAI reporting, exclusions and controversy screening, ESG risk, due diligence). Most clients are in Sweden, Norway, Finland and France, with growing interest from LATAM.
- Connect Insights, transaction-level emissions measurement for retail and SME banks, used by banking clients and partners including Tide and KBC.
It's a hands-on, client-facing job with real ownership. You'll keep renewals safe, spot expansion, and be the voice of the customer to our product, data and engineering teams. You'll work directly with the CEO and our commercial lead from day one.
What you'll be doing
Owning the compliance customer book (asset managers)
- Run quarterly check-ins and QBRs, tiered by support need, ensuring customers feel heard and understood.
- Manage renewals: start health checks 4–5 months before renewal and prioritise by deal size and renewal date.
- Track account health with our scoring model (engagement, relationship, value delivered, commercial) and help us mitigate any red flags.
- Spot and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Especially pertinent for clients in group structures where we can grow throughout a larger organisation.
- Handle day-to-day client requests via our support channels, with help from our support engineer and AI agents.
Connecting customers to the rest of the company
- Raise technical and data issues with the context engineers need, and track them to resolution.
- Feed demo and client feedback to the product team so it shapes what we build.
- Support methodology and due-diligence requests from clients, acquirers and compliance teams, alongside our data lead.
- Respond to DORA, data-security and SLA questions in legal reviews, with Legal sign-off before any commitment. Again with support from our CEO, lawyers, and agents.
Keeping the commercial engine running
- Coordinate invoicing with our finance partners.
- Add context and colour to our company-level retention metrics (MRR/ARR, GRR and NRR) for our retention model and health dashboard.
- Keep our CRM (HubSpot) and internal knowledge base current, and share updates little and often with the wider team.
- Support discovery calls, proposals and demos with our commercial lead where existing relationships or referrals are involved.
- Where useful, support early conversations with consulting and reseller partners.
What you'll bring
Must have
- 4+ years in customer success or account management at a B2B SaaS or data company (preferably with experience selling to financial institutions).
- A track record of owning renewals and expansion on a book of enterprise accounts.
- Comfort with data. You can QA a holdings file, explain a data gap, and talk through a methodology with a compliance team.
- Self-starter who can pick up an existing book fast and run it with little hand-holding.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Comfort using AI agents and tools in your daily workflow, or at least a keen appetite to learn these technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial institutions, especially asset management firms, management companies, private equity, and wealth advisors.
- Working knowledge of sustainable finance regulation: SFDR, PAI, EU Taxonomy is preferred.
- Swedish, Norwegian or another Nordic language.
- Experience with ESG data products (screening, controversies, emissions or PAI data).
- HubSpot and Notion experience.
- Experience working with consultancies or channel partners.
Contract details
- Type: Fixed-term contractor (maternity cover)
- Duration: 9 months, with possibility to extend. Estimate 15 days paid leave not including public holidays, although actual leave is dependent on contract hours.
- Start: As soon as possible (ideally November/December 2026)
- Hours: Full-time; part-time (3–4 days) considered
- Location: Remote in Europe. Stockholm or London preferred for client visits
- Reports to: Dave Higginson, COO & Interim CEO
- Rate: Competitive, and dependent on experience
Why this role matters
- Meaningful impact: Your work supports the transition to a more sustainable financial system.
- Real ownership: You run the customer book end to end for our investor customers.
- Close to product: We're small enough that your ideas have a direct influence on our roadmap.
- Remote-first and flexible: We care about outcomes, clarity, and trust, not hours logged or where you're logging in from.
- Evolving ways of working: You'll learn and contribute to the brand new way of working that is emerging from using Generative AI. We make heavy use of agentic tools to improve the quality and scale of the work we do.
