Lead Product Manager
Construction is one of the most fundamental industries on the planet - just try to imagine human societies without buildings - yet it has also been left behind by the digitalisation revolutions which have transformed other industrial sectors. Construction also accounts for 11% of global carbon emissions, while employing 7% of the global workforce and accounting for 13% of global GDP.
At Converge, we believe that if we are going to be building the cities, structures, and societies of the future then something has to change. We also believe that change will be impossible if you are not measuring what’s actually happening on the ground. That’s why we are building our Physical Intelligence Platform, ConstructionDNA, to help the industry build the future more efficiently, more safely, and more sustainably.
We’re a small but ever-growing team of 55+ with a global outlook, counting 17+ nationalities (and even more languages!) among us. As a team, we are passionate about cutting-edge digital innovation and driven by our mission to build the future more efficiently, safely and sustainably. Come join us!
The Role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to lead Cure, owning its strategy, roadmap, and commercial performance. You'll set the direction for a portfolio spanning embedded sensors, reusable hardware, and associated software, and be accountable for the P&L and the achievement of Cure's business goals.
Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in-house working closely with your team’s tech lead. You will manage distributed third-party partners who design our physical products and work closely with the Operations team who manage partners who produce them. You'll also collaborate with our Novel Sensing R&D team to conceptualise and validate new sensing modalities, turning early research into products that create real and lasting value for customers.
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware and software, who can manage complexity across product, commercial, and partner relationships, and who is energised by the challenge of scaling a product that is already winning in the market.
You will:
Own the strategy and direction of the Cure product portfolio, setting a clear vision for where the products need to go and why.
Set, communicate, and take accountability for OKRs across the Cure portfolio, ensuring your team is aligned and moving towards measurable outcomes.
Align on strategy and direction with business stakeholders, ensuring technical, commercial, operations, and financial leadership are bought in and supporting your plans.
Take full accountability for the Cure P&L, driving revenue and margin performance while managing costs across hardware and software.
Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Cure's footprint, geographically, through new customer segments, and via new products and capabilities.
Set and execute on the Cure product roadmap, balancing near-term customer and commercial needs with longer-term strategic bets.
Drive 0-to-1 product development where opportunities demand new products rather than extensions of the existing range.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team of hardware and software engineers, working closely with the tech lead for the team, fostering a culture of craft, collaboration, and accountability.
Work effectively across disciplines, from firmware and electronics through to cloud software and UX, understanding enough of each to make good decisions and support your team.
Form and manage relationships with third-party research & development partners to design, build, and deliver sensor products at scale and quality.
Collaborate with our Operations team, who manage supply chain and production partners, on new product introductions and managing product costs and margins.
Define, manage, and continuously improve working models with partners to get products to market as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, without compromising on quality.
Partner closely with Converge's Novel Sensing R&D team to explore and validate new sensing modalities that could become the next generation of Cure products.
Bridge the gap between early-stage research and commercial product development, defining the criteria for what gets productised and shaping how it gets to market.
Requirements:
Please consider applying even if you don’t think you tick everything below.
Proven experience leading hardware and software products end-to-end, from concept through to commercial launch and in-market scaling.
Experience owning a P&L or taking meaningful accountability for the commercial performance of a product or portfolio.
A track record of getting the most out of outsourced manufacturing or development partners to bring physical products to market.
Strong product instincts, able to synthesise customer insight, commercial context, and technical constraints into clear decisions and a coherent roadmap.
Experience leading or closely directing multi-disciplinary engineering teams spanning both hardware and software.
Comfortable operating across the full product lifecycle, including both 0-to-1 development and the scaling and evolution of established products.
Clear, confident communicator who can align stakeholders across technical, commercial, and leadership contexts.
Experience in the construction industry or construction technology preferred.
Familiarity with embedded systems, sensor hardware, or IoT products preferred.
Experience operating in a high-growth, Series A to C environment preferred.
