The position

Job description

La Vie is on a mission to make plant based proteins tastier and cooler than animal ones.

In five years, we have built one of the most loved plant based brands in Europe. We operate in retail and foodservice across France and the UK as priority markets, and are present in 10 countries. Our portfolio spans meat analog products, plant based sandwiches, a delivery offer, and soon new categories beyond meat analog.

Innovation is at the core of our growth model — not only in products, but also in the way we operate internally.

We are looking for a highly resourceful and systems-oriented builder to help structure the digital backbone of La Vie and unlock the next level of operational efficiency.

This role reports directly to the CEO and works transversally across all teams and functions. You will own the evolution of our internal systems, data architecture and automation capabilities while helping the company leverage AI in concrete and pragmatic ways.

This is not a traditional IT role, nor a pure data role. We are looking for someone who loves simplifying complexity, building robust systems and making teams dramatically more efficient.

Purpose of the role

Build and maintain scalable internal systems that make La Vie faster, smarter and more efficient.

You will help structure our data and internal architecture, reduce operational friction across teams and implement practical AI and automation projects with tangible business impact.

The role combines systems thinking, data, automation, AI experimentation and hands-on execution in a fast-moving startup environment.

Pillars of the role

1. Build and maintain La Vie’s internal systems architecture

● Structure and maintain robust internal systems and workflows across the company.

● Improve and maintain our data warehouse and internal applications ecosystem.

● Ensure systems are scalable, reliable and easy to maintain over time.

● Reduce dependency risks by improving documentation, architecture clarity and process robustness.

● Bring simplicity and structure to an environment with many moving pieces and fast growth.

2. Unlock operational efficiency through automation

● Identify repetitive workflows and operational bottlenecks across teams.

● Build automations and lightweight internal tools that create measurable productivity gains.

● Improve the reliability and accessibility of business data.

● Help teams operate faster with better workflows and simpler systems.

3. Help accelerate AI adoption across La Vie

● Prototype and implement pragmatic AI use cases across the business.

● Help teams identify where AI can create real operational value.

● Test and deploy AI tools, agents and workflows.

● Contribute to building an AI-native culture focused on execution rather than hype.

● Stay ahead of emerging tools and identify high-impact opportunities for La Vie.

4. Support and secure La Vie’s digital environment

● Help manage core internal systems and permissions.

● Contribute to cybersecurity best practices and system reliability.

● Support troubleshooting and ensure teams can operate smoothly day to day.

● Maintain high standards of operational resilience while keeping things pragmatic and lightweight.


Preferred experience

● 5+ years of experience in startup, tech or fast-moving environments.

● Strong systems thinking and analytical skills.

● Experience working with data, automations and internal business tools.

● Comfortable working across low-code tools, SQL and modern AI tooling.

● Ability to simplify complexity and build pragmatic solutions quickly.

● Strong business acumen and understanding of operational impact.

● Hands-on and highly autonomous profile with strong ownership mentality.

● Curious about AI and excited to turn emerging technologies into concrete business value.

● Strong prioritisation skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.

● Excellent communication skills and ability to work transversally with non-technical teams.

● Resourceful, fast learner and action-oriented.

● Startup mindset with low ego and high adaptability.

● English required. French is a strong plus.

Recruitment process

You will first have a video call with someone from the HR team followed by interviews with Nicolas, our CEO, and key team members. We will also ask you to work on a practical case study focused on systems thinking and problem solving.
