Our mission is bold: to revolutionise health management by delivering clinical-grade data directly to individuals, wherever they are.

We’re seeking driven innovators to join us in pushing the boundaries of biosensing and health tech, making personalised health monitoring a reality for everyone. To achieve this ambitious vision, we’re assembling the best team in the world - dedicated to turning cutting-edge science into life-changing, real-world solutions.

About The Role
We are seeking a lead biosensor scientist to drive the development and commercialisation of our continuous aptamer sensor platform. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in developing continuous monitoring devices for regulated healthcare applications, demonstrated experience transitioning research-stage sensors into manufacturing-ready products, and a track record working with in vivo validation studies and large-scale analytical verification programs.

This is a full-time, in-person role primarily based in London.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and optimisation of electrochemical continuous sensor systems from bench concept through manufacturing readiness
  • Design and execute large-scale analytical verification studies, including multi-parameter performance characterisation, stability assessments, and biocompatibility validation
  • Oversee in vivo validation studies in human subjects and troubleshoot sensor performance in clinical settings
  • Define manufacturing processes, material specifications, and quality control parameters aligned with regulatory expectations and QMS frameworks
  • Engage directly with regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA) to define performance specifications and shape submission strategy
  • Lead cross-functional efforts with electrochemistry, microfabrication, and manufacturing to translate designs into scalable production
  • Develop technical documentation packages (CMC, analytical performance dossiers) for regulatory submissions and investor communications
  • Mentor junior scientists and technicians in sensor characterisation and assay validation methodologies

What You Bring

  • A Ph.D. degree in electrochemistry, materials science, biomedical engineering, or related discipline, with specific focus on electrochemical biosensors. Minimum 4 years of industry experience commercialising continuous monitoring or diagnostic sensor technologies

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Deep experience in electrochemical sensor development-particularly amperometric, potentiometric, or impedance-based platforms-with demonstrated progression from research concept to clinical or commercial application
  • Proven track record managing regulatory submissions (FDA 510(k), De Novo, or CE marking) for continuous monitoring devices
  • Strong experience designing and executing large-scale analytical verification studies including stability, accuracy, precision, and matrix interference assessments
  • Demonstrated experience working with in vivo validation studies, including study design, data interpretation, and regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge of manufacturing readiness, scale-up strategy, and GMP-compatible processes
  • Proven ability to operate in QMS-ready environments with familiarity of ISO 13485, design controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of biocompatibility, sterility, and shelf-life requirements for implantable or skin-worn continuous devices
  • Proficiency in surface chemistry, material selection, and biointerface optimisation
  • Expertise in aptamer-based biorecognition elements and aptamer optimisation for continuous monitoring applications

Nice to have:

  • Experience with microneedle or transdermal ISF technologies
  • Familiarity with SELEX or aptamer discovery workflows
  • Experience with MEMS & electrode microfabrication processes
