The Role :

Join an elite engineering-driven team and have an immediate impact on defining what “voice as the next platform” truly means! Mobilus Labs is looking for a passionate and driven VP of Engineering to lead Mobilus’ technical team and strategy. This role will join the team as part of the leadership team to assist in building the Mobilus digital platform in a collaborative environment. You will be leading a team of engineers, designers, and product managers in agile development with user testing in the loop. This role will also give you the opportunity to explore new technologies and approaches in advanced networking techniques, VoIP, and Voice Recognition and Voice UX interfaces.

Main Responsibilities:

• Help lead and grow a world class technical team.
• Plan and execute the long-term vision of the Mobilus Digital Platform
• Hands-on software development contributions to server and Android application.
• Oversee hardware and software integrations.
• Represent and communicate Mobilus’ technical excellence to external stakeholders

Required skills and experience:

• Previous management experience in tech company (Director, CTO, VP of Engineering)
• At least 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and Javascript
• Previous experience with PaaS or SaaS businesses
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Android SDK, APIs and libraries
• Ability to remain hands-on and up to date on technical frameworks and best practices.

“Nice to have” Skills :

• Previous experience with Freeswitch and/or WebRTC
• Experience with voice recognition and transcription libraries and/or APIs
• Previous experience in leading hardware/software technical teams
