Required Skills and Competencies

  • 8-12 years of experience in communications and/or marketing in a global organization.
  • Proven leadership in communications strategy development and implementation.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop original content and programs with minimal guidance, coupled with appreciation for scalable processes that maintain efficiency in achieving outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

Strategic communications lead for the Chief Administrative Office, with primary focus on our Technology Services Group and Information Security teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Content creation

  • Create and implement content that is aligned with our brand, ensuring the messages we share and the stories we tell are clear, concise, and compelling, resulting in our employees being more informed and inspired.
  • Help our colleagues develop their voice to be bold, clear, authentic, and relevant in the stories we share about them.
  • Contribute to our ongoing efforts to enhance how we measure the effectiveness of our communications work, particularly our content.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, compelling user-centric messages where employees understand what to do and why.
  • Lead ongoing enhancements to communication processes and systems that support content development and delivery.
  • Collaborate across Global Corporate Affairs to deliver strategic communication solutions.

Relationship management

  • Counsel our business partners on a range of strategic and tactical communications matters to help maintain alignment in the work we do with the priorities and objectives of our company and Global Corporate Affairs.
  • Serve as an advisor to business partners, helping them increase the impact of the work they lead on behalf of Moody’s.
  • Build relationships across the company to better connect people and information, resulting in a more informed and engaged workforce.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, helping them establish and maintain visibility and voice.

About the team

This role is aligned with Moody’s global Employee Communications & Events team. The group engages employees worldwide through storytelling to create experiences that help strengthen Moody’s culture and brand engagement. Employee Communications & Events is a part of Global Corporate Affairs at Moody’s which is also comprised of teams focused on a range of internal and external stakeholder engagement responsibilities for the company.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$125,800 - [[$182,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
