Skills and Competencies.

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning, analysis processes, and financial modeling, with familiarity in business intelligence tools and data science considered a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferably Office 365), financial modeling, and related financial systems.
  • Exposure to multidimensional reporting applications such as Hyperion Planning and Essbase is essential.
  • Strong analytical decision-making, problem-solving, and data quality orientation skills, with the ability to handle and synthesize large volumes of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of reviewing and assessing team deliverables while ensuring alignment with business requirements and management expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to summarize and effectively communicate findings and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach, strong understanding of basic accounting concepts, and a desire to learn new skills while tackling high-level challenges.

Education.

  • Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other quantitative field (e.g. MBA, CPA/CA, CIMA, ACCA).

Responsibilities.

  • Lead, supervise, and review the preparation of monthly reports and variance analysis, incorporating financial KPI analysis and historical trend insights to identify key focus areas for management.
  • Oversee and deliver business planning processes and outputs, including forecasts, budgets, and 5-year strategic plans, providing driver-based presentations for senior management discussions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize position management requests, develop new reporting and analysis for commissions and compensation plans, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Actively collaborate with local, regional, and global contacts, fostering strong relationships across the organization through effective communication.
  • Lead and review the development and implementation of new reporting solutions, driving standardization and productivity improvements across business planning processes.
  • Proactively recommend and implement best practices to enhance current processes and reporting, identifying areas for efficiency gains and process optimization.
  • Provide formal guidance, on-the-job training, and supervision to team members, while leading and managing special projects assigned by Senior Finance management.

About the team.

This role is an individual contributor with managerial responsibilities, offering intermediate to advanced support across all stages of financial planning and analysis processes. It involves business partnering and collaboration on cross-functional projects. The position also supports the Moody’s Analytics topline consolidations team, focusing on metrics such as ARR, revenue, and sales pipeline reporting.
