Skills and Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail and enthusiasm for developing expertise on the activities of industries and companies
- Analytical mindset capable of identifying trends in company emerging risk and communicating that information effectively to management
- Ability to work independently managing multiple demands and delivering high-quality output that meets specifications on schedule

- Strong research, critical thinking, written, and oral communication skills
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
- Completed coursework in business, economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or chemistry is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Researching and documenting commercial and industrial activities in a wide variety of business sectors, including chemicals, construction, energy, electronics, transportation, pharmaceuticals, food, and consumer goods
- Assembling, organizing, and maintaining current and historical data related to companies and their products, including revenue, market share, and M&A activity
- Analyzing information from business news, trade press, regulatory filings and other sources to track business activities and human health hazard risks for domestic and international companies
- Collaborating on the development of a data-science-enhanced system for analysis of business activities along with the identification of hazard exposures and the streams of commerce for these business activities
- Becoming a team expert on trends in multiple industries and companies
- Assisting in maintaining a monthly release schedule for new company content in applications and associated data products
- Engaging in other projects and tasks as needed to ensure the success of Moody’s casualty
About the Team
Moody’s casualty is a newly formed sub-segment within the Moody’s Insurance Business Unit responsible for delivering data and analytics to the global casualty insurance market. This role will report into the model product development team that is responsible for identifying new model capabilities that will drive growth in Moody’s casualty, developing model requirements, enabling sales and marketing teams, and maintaining the regular flow of emerging risk information in Moody’s casualty products. Company information is a crucial component of the Moody’s casualty product offering allowing users to assess a company’s most material emerging risks and manage emerging risk aggregations within casualty portfolios.
