Skills and Competencies
- 10+ years insurance industry experience, including 5+ years in casualty insurance (product management, underwriting, analytics, or risk solutions).
- Deep understanding of liability risk and exposure across multiple casualty lines (general liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, etc.).
- Experience with risk analytics tools, portfolio management solutions, or underwriting systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to translate complex market needs into clear product requirements and roadmaps.
- Innovative and creative problem solver with strong analytical skills.
- High energy, drive, and ability to perform as a team player with a high degree of self-motivation, while able to work independently.
- Prior experience with insurtech, risk platforms, or regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in a business environment, with proven ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver on commitments.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills, and ability to manage conflicts.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher attained.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of innovative casualty insurance solutions, driving product vision and market adoption.
- Define and own a key portion of the product roadmap for Moody’s casualty insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deliver tools for underwriting, claims analytics, and exposure management.
- Engage with customers and prospects to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and ensure market fit.
- Act as a domain expert, staying current on trends, regulations, and challenges in the casualty insurance market.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across modeling, engineering, sales, and marketing to bring solutions to market.
- Represent Moody’s at industry events, client meetings, and webinars as a thought leader in casualty insurance risk.
- Gather client feedback and market information to understand needs.
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans tied to the solution.
- Maintain up-to-date competitive market landscape and product analysis.
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria that accurately represent client requirements.
- Develop and/or review product collateral and sales tools (articles, datasheets, white papers, blogs, how-to videos, demos, etc.).
- Global travel required to meet customers and engineering teams.
- Flexible working hours to overlap with US west coast hours required.
About the Team
Our Casualty Insurance Solutions team is responsible for developing innovative, data-driven products that help insurers unlock deeper insights into liability risk, claims dynamics, and portfolio profitability.
- Contribute to the launch and growth of Moody’s new casualty insurance business segment.
- Help customers quantify emerging liability risks and integrate advanced analytics into their workflows.
