Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of SQL: Ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Familiarity with relational database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python for data manipulation: Hands-on experience with Pandas and NumPy for data processing, cleaning, and analysis. Familiarity with other Python libraries (such as matplotlib, seaborn, or scikit-learn) is advantageous for visualization or basic analytics
  • Understanding of data architectures, data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration technologies
  • English B2+ or Better
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to support organizational decision-making
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, processes, and requirements regarding managing large data sets
  • Preferred knowledge of Spark: Understanding of distributed computing frameworks for handling large datasets. Familiarity with PySpark or SparkSQL is highly preferred, especially for ETL processes and data operations at scale
  • Preferred knowledge of Databricks: Experience with the Databricks platform for collaborative data engineering, machine learning, and analytics Familiarity with using Databricks notebooks, integrating Spark workflows, and leveraging Databricks for scalable data processing is a plus
  • Preferred working experience in data operations, data management, data analytics, automation or a related role

Other considerations

  • Must be willing to work across time zones effectively with stakeholders in India and Brussels primarily, which will call for early mornings
  • Hybrid work with minimum 2 days in the office

Education

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Development, or related major. Ideally one year ahead of graduation
  • Start Date: March 2026

Responsibilities

The Intern will contribute to the optimization of our North American Data Operations. You will be performing the end-to-end data operations process, ensuring the availability, integrity, and accuracy of data on our flagship product Orbis. This role will assist in creating new processes for our data pipeline, remediating observations in our data leveraging automation and rules engines as well as interrogating the data using data analytics skills.

  • Data Quality Management: Execute and help to establish processes and methodologies to monitor, measure, and improve data quality across different data sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, completeness and uniqueness.
  • Data Operations Optimization: Perform the necessary analysis to evaluate and enhance data operations processes, identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Key Partnerships and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnership with key teams and cross-functional teams in order to reach our business objectives. This includes collaborating with Sales, Content and Product Strategy to develop knowledge on our customer’s use cases, understand business requirements and priorities to reach our business objectives. This role will also be collaborating with Technology, to help design and optimize data architecture, data model, and data pipeline. Support clients and internal stakeholders with data-related requests.
