Skills and Competencies
- Experience working with library management systems or platforms.
- Experience with Boolean-based searching.
- Knowledge of Business & Finance preferred.
- Exposure to GEN AI Tools (Copilot, Chat GPT,etc)
- Experience with text manipulation/mining using tools (Python, SQL, or similar languages/tools)
- A natural inquisitiveness and the desire to learn new technologies and processes.
Education
- Liberal Arts or Library/Information Science Major. BA / MA Student.
- Internship Start Date: March 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform QA work on News Enrichment.
- Research company related filings and press releases.
- Improve tagging of entities in news stories.
- Improve application of subject and industry taxonomies in news stories.
- Monitor news events and trends.
- Perform editorial duties.

The Data Estate News Enrichment Team is part of Moodys Analytics, bringing together a vast catalogue of data to help business decision-makers assess risks and opportunities. We are best known for Orbis, the world’s most comprehensive database of public and private companies. We are also the definitive source of ratings-related data for companies and securities that have been rated by Moody’s Investors Service. We strive to deliver convenience and insight to our customers by eliminating the hassle of sourcing, preparing, and accessing data, adding value when decisions need to be made. Any analytical activity depends on reliable and accessible data, and we are proud to be a mission-critical information resource for decision-makers around the world.
The team is responsible for all value-added enrichment to news content. This includes translations, topical categorization, named entity recognition of organizations, people and locations, sentiment analysis, event detection and summarization.
