Skills and Competencies

  • Driven and motivated and eager to learn
  • Communicates clearly in writing and speech; adapts style for clients and internal teams; confident on calls and in meetings
  • Analyses and matches data with strong attention to detail using spreadsheets and basic formulas
  • Plans and prioritizes tasks; meets deadlines across multiple projects; comfortable working to weekly goals and metrics
  • Can undertake thorough research through use of different tools – including AI, to help research organizations and decision-makers; builds accurate prospect lists; experience with a customer relationship system preferred

Education

  • Penultimate-year undergraduate in Business, Commerce, Data/Information Systems, Economics, Law, or related field
  • Right to work in Australia and ability to be in the Sydney office (hybrid) during the internship period
  • Availability ~3–4 days per week over the Australian summer break; exact schedule to be agreed

Responsibilities

Assist sales with research, outreach, and data matching while supporting pre-sales, post-sales and basic marketing/event tasks to drive lead generation.

  • Function Focus

    • Drive top-of-funnel activity, data quality, and sales support to help win and retain customers for compliance data and workflow solutions

  1. Research and prospect (30%) – Identify priority accounts and contacts; build prospect lists; qualify leads from campaigns and events
  2. Campaign outreach (email/phone) (20%) – Personalise messages, book meetings, and log outcomes in the customer relationship system
  3. Data matching and enrichment (25%) – Clean and reconcile datasets; map fields between customer files and internal databases; document assumptions
  4. Pre-sales support (10%) – Prepare slides, product overviews, and simple demonstrations; capture requirements from discovery calls
  5. Post-sales follow-ups (5%) – Track agreed actions, collect basic usage and satisfaction feedback, and update records
  6. Marketing and events (8%) – Coordinate invites, manage attendee lists, support day-of logistics, and write follow-up notes
  7. Reporting and admin (2%) – Maintain dashboards, update activity logs, and prepare weekly summaries
