Skills and Competencies

• Risk Management Expertise: 7–10+ years of experience in risk management, AI/ML development, audit, or compliance roles, with a focus on technology, product, or enterprise risk is required.

• Model Risk Management: A strong execution background in model risk management, specifically with SR 11-7, is required to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently applied.

• AI/ML Knowledge: Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML development and governance, including GenAI risks and agentic architectures, is essential for conducting effective risk assessments.

• Technical Acumen: Strong technical understanding of AI systems, including LLMs and AI vendor platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI), is needed to evaluate AI features for risk and compliance.

• Governance Frameworks: Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g., EU AI Act) is necessary to keep our practices current.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills are required to engage with teams across Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Product.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

• Preferred certifications: CRISC, CGRC, AIGC, CIPP/US or CIPP/E, ISO/IEC 42001, PMP.

Responsibilities Support AI risk governance and assessments across Moody’s Analytics to enable responsible AI adoption in our products and operations.

• Oversee the day-to-day execution of AI/ML risk governance across multiple business units.

• Maintain the AI use case and model inventory, lifecycle governance, and associated risk determinations.

• Coordinate the intake, risk assessment, and documentation of AI use cases, ensuring alignment with Moody’s governance protocols.

• Translate enterprise AI risk policies into practical procedures, templates, and workflows.

• Partner with technical and product teams to embed governance checkpoints into development pipelines.

• Conduct and document risk assessments covering fairness, bias, explainability, security, and resilience.

• Consolidate reporting and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for senior leadership, audit, and regulators.

• Act as the primary governance liaison with model development, validation, and engineering teams.

About the team
Our Risk Management team is responsible for overseeing Moody’s Analytics’ enterprise risk framework and implementing risk management activities across the organization. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $143,800.00 - $208,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
