Skills and Competencies

  • 10+ years’ experience in direct business-to-business sales roles, preferably serving financial services and/or (Re)insurance clients
  • Deep understanding of the (Re)insurance industry and interest in capital markets, data, and software
  • Solid grasp of global financial services industry dynamics and customer business drivers
  • Proven consultative selling skills and ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally
  • Strong independent and team working skills, with high attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency

Education

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g, Bachelor’s degree) in economics, finance, or related area preferred

Responsibilities

Drive the sales process for a set of complex products and services for Insurance companies

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and exceed annual target
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, collaborating with internal teams and sales colleagues
  • Lead business development efforts for insurance clients, partnering with Solution Specialists for proposals and demos
  • Serve as the primary contact for client functions, building strong relationships by identifying needs and recommending tailored solutions
  • Promote and help shape solutions tailored to the insurance sector
  • Expand Moody’s presence across the broader insurance ecosystem, including consultants, regulators, and industry groups
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy teams to enhance offerings and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Travel up to 50% to engage with clients face-to-face

Our Insurance Solutions Sales team is responsible for driving growth and delivering value to insurance clients through innovative analytics and data-driven solutions. We contribute to Moody's by shaping tailored solutions and expanding our presence across the broader insurance ecosystem. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134,400.00 - $194,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
