Skills and Competencies
- 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role within the financial services, information services, or data analytics industries, preferably with exposure to software as a service solutions
- Past experience with KYC, Compliance, Fraud, Trade Credit, Supplier Risk, TPRM, MDM/Sales and Marketing use-cases in the Banking market
- Proven ability to analyze business processes and workflows, with a knack for identifying efficiency improvements
- A commercial mindset and sales mentality with a specific drive to win new customers
- Demonstrated experience in technical sales including data and software as a service solutions, with experience in complex sales cycles being a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
- Interest in or past experience with Spark, SQL, or Python for API development is highly encouraged, but not required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus
Responsibilities
Drive the pre-sales function for the Banking segment by understanding client needs and aligning Moody’s solutions to meet them
- Support sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the pre-sales process from qualification to solution alignment
- Conduct in-depth analyses of client workflows, processes, and business requirements to identify pain points and areas for improvement
- Demonstrate the value of Moody’s solutions through product demos, proof-of-concepts, and trial evaluations
- Map Moody's solutions to client needs, developing custom solutions where necessary by leveraging Moody's portfolio of data and software
- Work closely with product and technical teams to understand product architecture and ensure seamless integration for clients
- Act as a bridge between clients and product development teams, conveying feedback to inform product enhancements and innovation
- Maintain a strong understanding of software solutions typically utilized in the banking landscape such as case management, transaction monitoring, and AML solutions
- Travel up to 30%

Our Banking Solutions team is responsible for driving the pre-sales function for the Banking segment. We contribute to Moody's by understanding complex client workflows, demonstrating the value of our data and software, and acting as a bridge between our customers and product teams to drive innovation. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134,400.00 - $194,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
