Skills and Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in data quality management or engineering, preferably within a commercial setting
- Proven experience working in a multi-functional team, with a strong understanding of data integrity and change management processes
- Proficiency in data monitoring and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, MS Fabric, MS PowerBI, and MS Excel
- Solid working knowledge of Salesforce
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both business and technical teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and experience performing root-cause analysis for data quality issues
- Ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making and streamline data quality processes
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy, defining quality standards, metrics, and KPIs for critical data assets
- Assess current data quality to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and evaluate the impact on business processes
- Design and implement automated and manual data validation processes; oversee data cleansing activities to remediate errors in large datasets
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, processes, and standards, collaborating with data stewards, IT, and business units
- Develop workflows and controls for ongoing data quality monitoring, including automated alerts and dashboards
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of data quality processes, standards, and tools
- Develop and present regular reports on data quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve data quality based on analytical findings

Our Data Management and Governance team is responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and usability of the organization's data across multiple systems and domains. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in developing and implementing comprehensive data quality strategies aligned with organizational goals, establishing and enforcing data governance policies, processes, and standards across the organization and leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive innovation.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $103,800.00 - $150,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
