Skills and Competencies

  • 1–3 years of experience in data operations, data management, data analytics, automation, or a related role
  • Proficiency in SQL: Ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
  • Strong Python skills for data manipulation: Hands-on experience with Pandas and NumPy. Familiarity with visualization and analytics libraries such as matplotlib, seaborn, or scikit-learn
  • Understanding of data architectures, data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration technologies
  • Experience with data quality frameworks and best practices for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • English B2+ or better
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and present complex ideas clearly
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to manage and analyze large datasets effectively

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing and scalable ETL workflows
  • Presentation and Data Visualization Skills (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Databricks for collaborative data engineering and analytics
  • Knowledge of entity resolution, deduplication, and data matching techniques
  • Exposure to Generative AI tools or frameworks for data enrichment or automation use cases
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with stakeholders in different time zones

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Development, or a equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Data Quality Management: Develop and execute processes to monitor and improve data quality across multiple sources
  • Develop Data Deduplication Frameworks
  • Data Operations Optimization: Analyze and enhance data operations workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Content, Product Strategy, and Technology teams to understand business needs and optimize data pipelines and architecture
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with data-related requests and insights
  • Contribute to the evolution of our data estate, including Orbis and other flagship products, by ensuring data integrity and operational excellence
  • Must be willing to work across time zones, especially with stakeholders in India, Brussels and Manchester (early mornings may be required)
  • Hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days in the office
