Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: 7575 Gateway Blvd, Suite 300, Newark, CA 94560, USA

Duties: Design, manage, and maintain cloud and on-premises compute, storage and backup infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across corporate and customer-facing environments. Perform strategic planning, capacity management, and performance optimization of server and storage systems. Deploy, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot storage and compute systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Provision storage and deploy virtual machines for corporate needs and client environments. Analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and optimize hardware utilization for cost efficiency. Manage backup infrastructure, ensuring data protection, recovery, and compliance with service level agreements. Support customer-facing disaster recovery (DR) solutions, troubleshoot replication issues, and implement DR strategies. Develop and maintain Terraform, Azure ARM templates, PowerShell and shell scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Provision and optimize physical and virtual infrastructure. Maintain inventory, documentation, and contingency operation plans for infrastructure management.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least three (3) years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administration, or a related technical position designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructures across on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments. Must have experience with the following: performing infrastructure management, including virtualization and containerization; performing backup and disaster recovery, automation and scripting, and IT asset management; managing infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes; developing and maintaining storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage services; and working with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Nutanix HCI, NetApp, IBM ESS, Terraform, PowerShell, Shell Scripts, and VMware.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $174,637 to $185,150/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
