Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with financial statements and accounting standards
- Financial/statistical research capabilities
- Strong academic background with good grasp of accounting and financial knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Macros, PowerPoint is desirable
- English speaking and writing capabilities are a plus
- Schedule availability for 20 hours per week
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills in Spanish
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for
learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI
systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk
management and ethical use
Education
- Third year or higher active student in a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent in Economics, Accounting or a Business-related discipline
- Applicants must be at least 18 months away from graduating from their undergraduate studies at the time of application
Responsibilities
- Gather and prepare financial information of the issuers rated by Moody's Local (60% of dedicated time)
- Produce analytical summaries of quantitative information for analysts
- Support the analytical team in different projects
- Prepare materials for briefings and research reports
About the team
The Intern will provide assistance to the analytical team in operational matters related to the credit analysis process, as well as in the preparation of research reports and in other projects that Moody’s Local develops. You will work closely with Associate and Analysts. This role provides an opportunity for the candidate to learn and develop analytical skills and to contribute towards the success of the team by providing support to overall credit analysis.The Intern role will focus on multiple sectors and will support analysts that cover different portfolios and methodologies.
