Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated experience managing sales professionals to drive team performance and development; required for coaching and mentoring the SDR team.
- Proven track record in a software or services sales role with success in a needs/solutions-based selling approach; required to effectively guide the team's sales strategies.
- Solid understanding of SDR/sales processes and CRM systems; required to design and implement effective sales campaigns and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; required to influence key decision-makers and manage client relationships.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with strong networking skills; required to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and identify new business opportunities.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools—such as Copilot and ChatGPT—can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Interest in exploring agentic AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related area is required.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team, driving pipeline growth through strategic campaign execution and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the SDR team, designing and implementing KPIs to track performance.
- Develop a continuous training program to ensure ongoing learning and development for the SDRs.
- Design and execute targeted sales campaigns, tracking success and reporting progress to Regional Sales Management.
- Generate qualified leads and sales opportunities for the sales organization through successful campaign execution.
- Manage the team of sales professionals, setting direction for sales activities and reviewing account coverage.
- Collaborate with marketing and product strategy teams to drive sales initiatives and identify opportunities for new product development.
- Drive continuous service improvement with the ultimate goal of revenue production and retention.
- Assist Finance in developing strategic corporate plans by forecasting multi-year revenue and expenditures for area of responsibility.
- Position requires occational travel.
About the team
The Sales Development team sits within Moody’s Analytics’ Sales organization and plays a critical role in driving pipeline growth and supporting go‐to‐market execution. The team partners closely with regional sales leadership, marketing, and product strategy to design and execute targeted sales campaigns that generate qualified leads and sales opportunities across Moody’s diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporates, and public sector organizations. The SDR Sales Manager leads and develops the Sales Development Representatives (SDR) team and acts as a key link between sales strategy and execution. This role is responsible for setting direction, defining KPIs, coaching the team, and measuring campaign performance, while working closely with Regional Sales Management and senior sales leaders to ensure alignment with broader revenue, coverage, and growth objectives.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,300.00 - $236,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
