Skills and Competencies
  • Entry level to 2 years of relevant work experience or internship experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive processes with no error
  • Ability to accurately review financial statements and various documents
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex business concepts to a senior audience
  • Highly organized and efficient with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong client-focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
  • Undergraduate/first-level degree required (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field)
Responsibilities
Supports all administrative and operational functions related to credit estimate deal management, including new deal set-up, data capture, lifecycle maintenance, and quality assurance within the designated Line of Business.
  • Performs administrative tasks including but not limited to data updates, rating action preparation, bulk rating actions, publishing ratings, and research and press release templates and disclosures consistent with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and guidelines for designated Line of Business support
  • Monitors designated mailboxes to ensure timely and effective handling of internal and external client requests
  • Organizes work to meet deadlines and time-sensitive requests and projects
  • Facilitates resolution to technical issues and more complex external inquiries with supervision by a Senior Financial Data Associate, Specialist, or Team Leader
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients by delivering high-quality service across a large volume of transactions, responding promptly and professionally to client needs
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves data discrepancies and client inquiries, escalating issues as needed and following up with analysts for clarification
  • Works closely with Rating Teams and other Moody's departments to ensure effective communication and seamless workflow execution
  • Provides backup support for colleagues during absences, demonstrates flexibility with shifting deadlines, and consistently contributes to team goals
About the Team
The Credit Estimate Operations team, part of Moody's Investors Service, plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of credit estimate ratings across a broad range of financial instruments and asset classes. The team partners closely with Rating Analysts, Commercial teams, and Technology to ensure seamless workflow execution, robust data quality, and full regulatory compliance. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $56,200.00 - $81,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
