As a CloudOps Engineer, you’ll ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. You’ll integrate the Data team and collaborate closely with the Bioinformatics team, while keeping a sharp balance between building robust systems and delivering fast, pragmatic solutions.

Education: Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent), or 5+ years of experience in the field

Phagos is on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable future by using bacteria’s natural predator, the bacteriophage, to win the fight against antibiotic resistance and cure infectious diseases. We use breakthrough technologies in both the wet lab and dry lab to generate customized treatments for pathogenic diseases at an unprecedented speed.
As a CloudOps Engineer, you’ll ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. You’ll integrate the Data team and collaborate closely with the Bioinformatics team, while keeping a sharp balance between building robust systems and delivering fast, pragmatic solutions.
🛠 What You’ll Do
- Expand our infrastructure as new needs emerge.
- Adapt the existing infrastructure whenever there are relevant changes, including updates from the cloud provider (AWS), new tools/services available.
- Manage security in our cloud platform (minimize attack surface, maintain roles and permissions, follow security best practices).
- Optimize efficiency (cost, speed) of our infrastructure, suggesting and exploring new strategies whenever appropriate.
- Keep Phagos in the right balance between building “complex but perfect” and “quick but non-scalable” solutions.
- Work fully remote, hybrid, or onsite in Paris
- Collaborate with talented internal teams and AWS experts
- Take ownership of infrastructure critical to pioneering biotech innovation

Experience: 2–4 years in a similar role
Education: Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent), or 5+ years of experience in the field
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in AWS (networking, services, permissions)
- Proficiency in Terraform
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Solid Git plus GitLab (or GitHub) knowledge, including CI/CD
- Strong team player, able to prioritize effectively
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
