Our Mission
At Round, we're putting finance and operations on autopilot. Not another CFO co-pilot - real workflows that think, act, and execute across tools, protocols, and banking rails.
We're combining the power of infrastructure with AI to push the frontiers of what's possible in finance.
Finance teams at SMEs and mid-market companies still run on spreadsheets, email chasing, and manual processes. We're replacing that with an AI-powered financial OS: treasury, payments, AP, FX, and AI agents, all in one platform. Hundreds of businesses already run their finance on Round, and we're backed by leading early-stage VC firms and scouts from a16z, Sequoia, Accel, and Atomico.
We're growing quickly in the UK, and the US is next.

The basics
📍 London, Shoreditch. Hybrid three days a week in the office minimum.💰 Competitive salary and meaningful equity (EMI scheme). This is a senior hire and the package reflects that. We'll talk through the numbers properly on the first call🥇 Reporting directly to Pac (CEO), working closely with Hayyaan (CTO)🚀 You own operations and people as a function, and you build the team that comes after you🏖️ 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays🍜 Weekly team lunch, annual offsites, brand new MacBook + whatever else you need to do your job effectivelyAbout the role
Round has grown fast. We've gone from a handful of customers to hundreds, the team has roughly doubled in the last year, and we're about to do it again as we expand the product and open up the US. Most of how we run the company was designed when we were a third of the size, and it's starting to creak.
We're hiring someone senior to own how Round actually runs. That means the operating cadence, the internal systems and tooling, the processes that keep quality high as we add people, and the hiring engine that brings those people in. Right now the founders do most of this, and that is the constraint we're trying to remove.
This is not a chief of staff role. You're not shadowing the founders, sitting in their meetings and taking notes. You own a function, you make decisions in it, and you're accountable for the outcome. We want someone who has already done this somewhere that scaled and who knows what breaks at 20, 50 and 100 people before it breaks.
We're an FCA-authorised business operating across multiple entities, so the bar for operational rigour is high. Equally, we move fast and we'd rather have good judgement than heavy process. Knowing the difference is most of the job.
What you'll own
How the company runs. Goal setting, planning cycles, the weekly and monthly cadence, all-hands, offsites, reporting. Make sure everyone knows what matters and whether we're winning.Hiring. Own recruitment end to end: role scoping, sourcing strategy, interview loops, scorecards, employer brand, offers and closing. We'll be hiring across sales, engineering and marketing over the next 12 months and we need this to be a repeatable machine, not a series of scrambles.People and team. Onboarding, performance and peer reviews, progression and compensation frameworks, employment admin and UK employment compliance. Build the structures that let people do their best work without turning us into a bureaucracy.Internal systems and tooling. HubSpot, Notion, Slack and the AI workflows we build on top of them. If a process can be automated, automate it. If it can't, document it.Business operations. Vendors, procurement, contracts, budgets, insurance, office, working alongside our finance function.Scaling readiness. Get us to a place where we can add twenty people and a US entity without anything falling over.About you
We care far more about what you've built and scaled than the titles on your CV.
You've scaled operations at a fast-growing company before. Ideally somewhere that went from roughly 20 to 100+ people while you were there, and you were one of the people making that work.Around 6 to 10 years of experience. Senior enough to be autonomous from day one, early enough in your career that you still want to build rather than manage.Real hiring experience. You've run searches end to end, designed interview processes, closed candidates and had the hard conversations. This is not a nice-to-have for us.Comfortable with the people side. Onboarding, performance, progression, difficult conversations, UK employment basics. You don't need to have been an HRBP, but you can't be squeamish about this work. You build systems, not just fixes. You see the pattern behind the recurring problem and solve it once.Very high agency. Nobody will hand you a list. You work out what matters most, get moving and tell us what you decided.Fluent with AI tooling. We're an AI-native company and we expect our own operations to reflect that.Excellent written communication. You can take something complicated and make it clear. No ego about execution. Some of this work is strategic. Some of it is booking the offsite and chasing a signature. You're happy doing both.Nice to have, not required: experience in fintech or another regulated environment, setting up a US entity, or working in a company through a fundraise.
