At Round, we’re building the first truly autonomous digital worker for finance and operations. Not another CFO co-pilot - a real employee that thinks, acts, and executes across tools, protocols, and banking rails.

We’re combining the power of infrastructure with AI to push the frontiers of what’s possible in finance.

The mission

Make Round Treasury the name that defines AI-native finance.

The basics

  • 📍 Location: London, 3-4 days a week in the office
  • ✍️ 1-2 days a week of heads-down writing from home, encouraged
  • 💰 Market salary + generous equity
  • 🙋‍♂️ Reporting directly to CEO
  • This is a marketing role, but not the battlecards kind. We care most about brand and story.

Most finance companies sound the same. Banks sound safe and dull, fintechs sound like each other, and nobody remembers which one said what. Round ships something new almost every week, and our product is ahead of our story.

Your job is to fix that. You'll work out what makes Round different from everyone else in the market, turn it into a voice people recognise, and put it into everything we publish.

You're the first marketing hire. Founders set the direction on category and ambition. You do the research, come back with a point of view, and then write it. You'll be one of the main voices of Round, visible to customers, investors and the whole finance community.

    What you'll be doing

  • Owning positioning and messaging: Work out why a CFO should pick Round over every bank and fintech in the market, test it with customers, and make it the story behind everything we say.
  • Setting our voice: Make Round recognisable before anyone sees the logo, from the website to a LinkedIn post to an email.
  • Running the newsletter: A regular send to customers and prospects that people look forward to, not one they archive.
  • Writing every launch: The announcement, the website update, the LinkedIn posts, the press release, the in-app copy.
  • Helping the team write: Everyone at Round posts on LinkedIn. You help them find the story and tell it well.
  • Talking to customers constantly: Sit in on calls, run interviews, and steal their language.
  • Shipping. A lot: This is not a job where you write a positioning deck and wait. You'll put work out every week and learn from what lands.
  • ❌ What you won't be doing

  • ❌ Writing brand books, internal positioning docs or mission statements nobody reads. Everything you make faces outward.
  • ❌ Running events or chasing distribution. Our GTM team owns that, you own what we say and how we say it.
  • ❌ Owning the CRM, pipeline metrics or sales ops.
  • ❌ Copying what other finance brands do. Look at what everyone else does, then do something else.
  • ❌ Spending months on a rebrand before anything ships.
  • Who you are

    Must haves...

  • You're a writer at heart: A punchy LinkedIn post, a long-form feature and a homepage headline, and each one sounds right. Many of the best people for this role will be journalists, especially anyone who has covered fintech, business or markets.
  • You hold yourself to the whole internet, not our competitors: If a CFO wouldn't read it over the best newsletter in their inbox, it doesn't ship.
  • You have informed opinions on what good looks like, and you can argue for them.
  • You can talk to a CFO or founder as a peer: Finance knowledge helps, but empathy for the reader matters more.
  • You're a generalist. You'd rather own everything outward-facing than specialise in one channel.
  • Very nice to haves...

  • Experience in product marketing at a startup with a standout brand
  • You've built an audience of your own, a newsletter, a podcast or a following
  • What we're working on right now

    Find Round's position

  • Why: Our product is ahead of our story.
  • We'll know it's working when: prospects describe what makes Round different in our words, before we've pitched them.
  • Make the newsletter worth opening

  • Why: It's the one channel where we talk to customers and prospects every week.
  • We'll know it's working when: people post about it online.
  • Rewrite the website

  • Why: A CFO should understand what Round does, and why it matters to them, in ten seconds.
  • We'll know it's working when: nobody on a first call asks "so what do you actually do?"
  • Interview process

  • Vibe check with Pac (CEO): 15 minutes to see if there's a fit on both sides.
  • Second-stage interview: 30 minutes on your career goals, what motivates you, what you're great at and what you're not.
  • Final stage with both co-founders: 1 hour, plus a case study, either live or take-home.
  • Offer: If everyone's happy, we'll make you an offer.
  • How to apply?

Connect with Pac on LinkedIn with a note on why you're the person for this, in 200 characters or fewer. It's your first writing test.
