Sales & Business Development, Customer Service

Posted on Nov 3, 2026

At Round, we’re building the first truly autonomous digital worker for finance and operations. Not another CFO co-pilot - a real employee that thinks, acts, and executes across tools, protocols, and banking rails.

We’re combining the power of infrastructure with AI to push the frontiers of what’s possible in finance.

The mission

Grow and retain the paying customers who fit Round's ideal customer profile.

The basics

  • 📍 Location: London, 3-4 days a week in the office
  • 💰 Market salary + generous equity
  • 🙋‍♂️ Reporting directly to CEO
  • This is an account management role, but not the renewals-and-QBRs kind. You own everything after the contract is signed.

Our sales team is converting faster than ever, and most of our customers joined in the last six to nine months. Many of them signed up for treasury before we'd built payments, AP, FX and our AI agents. The customers who use more of Round get far more out of it, and right now nobody owns helping them get there.

Today, customer success at Round is everyone's job and no one's. Customers live in Slack channels, and whoever is free picks things up. We only have builders and sellers.

Your job is to change that. You'll get new customers live fast, grow the ones we already have, and build the support operation from scratch. You're our first account manager, so you'll design the function, and as it grows you'll hire and lead the team that runs it.

    What you'll be doing

  • Activation: Take every new customer from signed to live. Hand-hold them through onboarding and KYC, get the first deposit in and cut time-to-value.
  • Expansion: Move customers onto more of the platform, from treasury into payments, AP, FX and our AI agents.
  • Spotting upsell signals: Headcount growth, more invoices, new entities, rising balances. You see it in the data and act before the customer asks.
  • Wallet share: Help customers put more of their cash to work with Round, including moving balances into our money market funds.
  • Owning the book: Set check-in cadences, track account health, run renewals and flag churn risk before the customer raises it.
  • Building support: One front door for customers, clear triage, response times, escalation paths and SOPs.
  • Launches: Make sure every product launch ships with a support plan, and customers know how to use what we've built.
  • Voice of the customer: Feed what you hear straight back to product and engineering so we fix root causes, not tickets.
  • Freeing up sales: Take post-sale work off our AEs so they spend their time selling.
  • ❌ What you won't be doing

  • ❌ Running quarterly business reviews nobody asked for.
  • ❌ Waiting for tickets to come in. You reach out first.
  • ❌ Answering the same question twice. You write the doc or build the automation instead.
  • ❌ Hunting new logos. Our AEs own new business, you own everything after the contract is signed.
  • ❌ Living in Slack threads forever. You're building the system that replaces them.
  • Who you are

    Must haves...

  • You're commercial: You don't just keep accounts happy, you grow them. You can show the revenue you've added from customers who were already signed.
  • You pick up the phone: When a customer goes quiet or something breaks, you call them before they call you.
  • You learn a product inside out: You can walk a CFO through it, tell a bug from user error, and write it up so engineering can fix it first time.
  • You're obsessed with the data: You know which customers are live, which are stuck, which are at risk and which are ready to do more with us. Nothing lives in your head.
  • You fix things once: When the same question comes up twice, you write the doc, build the automation or change the process.
  • You're AI-native: Your default answer to a manual task is an agent or a workflow. We sell AI to finance teams, so our customer operation should run on it.
  • You're comfortable with a blank page: No playbook exists yet. You'll write it.
  • Very nice to haves...

  • You've worked at a fintech and got customers through KYC and onboarding
  • You've sold to or managed startups and SMBs, where a sales cycle can be a day
  • You want to build and lead a team as the function grows
  • Interview process

  • Vibe check with Pac (CEO): 15 minutes to see if there's a fit on both sides.
  • Second-stage interview: 30 minutes on your career goals, what motivates you, what you're great at and what you're not.
  • Deep dive: A longer interview, including one of our investors who specialises in sales excellence.
  • Final stage with Hayyaan, our co-founder.
  • Offer: If everyone's happy, we'll make you an offer.
