Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer - Safety, with a strong focus on functional safety standards such as ISO 13849 and IEC 61508. The candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and compliance of our robotic systems operating in harsh environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement safety-related control systems for robotic applications in compliance with ISO 13849 and IEC 61508.
Perform risk assessments and safety evaluations on new and existing systems.
Develop safety architectures and safety plans to ensure that all projects meet strict safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety systems with AI and robotic technologies.
Maintain documentation and evidence for safety certifications and audits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
Experience in designing safety systems for automated machinery or robots.
Proficient in safety risk assessment and hazard analysis techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer).
Experience with safety software tools and programming in environments such as C or Python.
Knowledge of robotics, automated control systems, and AI technologies.
Practical experience in a regulated industry, such as automotive, aerospace, or industrial automation.
