General Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Planner to manage end‑to‑end supply planning activities and ensure optimal alignment between supply and demand. This role requires strong coordination across Contract Manufacturers, suppliers, engineering teams, and internal cross‑functional partners to support Qualcomm’s build plan and product delivery goals.
The Planner Will
- Manage daily supply‑vs‑demand balancing processes to support production build plans.
- Communicate with Contract Manufacturers and commodity suppliers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and material exposure, taking corrective actions to ensure consistent and adequate supply.
- Review forecasts and analyze demand trends to proactively adjust material ordering strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to fulfill production and engineering material requirements.
- Support cross‑functional programs involving material readiness, capacity planning, and build execution.
- Lead or participate in additional projects assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Enable and optimize on‑time product delivery by actively managing material supply, production capacity, and product‑specific planning levers.
- Manage component supply for module products at contract manufacturers and OSATs, ensuring full demand fulfillment.
- Drive mitigation actions to minimize liability from excess and obsolete inventory due to demand fluctuations, transitions, or product moves.
- Collaborate with operation team, engineering, sourcing, PM and cross‑functional partners to identify and execute
- opportunities that improve supply stability.
- Support material readiness, ensuring that material and supplier plans are aligned with program milestones.
- Provide data‑driven insights through analytical tools and dashboards to support decision‑making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of related work experience.
Associate's degree and 6+ years of related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of related work experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Positive attitude, patience, attention to detail, and strong emotional intelligence.
- Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Macro, VBA, SQL, database management, Tableau, or Power BI.
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply planning, material planning, purchasing, or other supply‑chain‑related roles.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP/SAP systems and end‑to‑end supply chain management.
- Experience in EMS/ODM/CM coordination is a plus.
- Strong cross‑functional communication skills, particularly with engineering and manufacturing teams.
