General Summary

Qualcomm’s Creative Studio team is seeking a Manager of Multimedia Design with a proven track record of creating compelling, high-impact multimedia content utilizing motion and 3D visuals that advances brand storytelling and achieves business and marketing objectives. This role is ideal for a highly skilled visual storyteller who brings ideas to life through motion, animation, and design, and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. This role will concept, design, and execute motion-driven creative across a wide range of platforms, from social and digital experiences to large-scale keynote visuals and brand campaigns.

The Creative Studio is a dynamic and innovative team that delivers world-class creative solutions to support Qualcomm’s business objectives. We work closely across the company’s marketing organization and with outside agency partners on projects across a wide range of mediums, including graphic and multimedia design, copy, video, environmental and experiential design, live event visuals and more. This position is based in our growing creative hub in Mexico City, which sits at the center of an evolving and ambitious creative strategy for the company. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.


OR

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR

High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.


Job Summary

The Manager, Multimedia Design will lead the design and execution of sophisticated motion and multimedia projects, bringing strong creative vision and technical mastery to every stage of the process. This role requires deep expertise in motion and 3D design, as well as a strong understanding of brand systems and how they translate into motion. The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker and hands-on creator who can independently develop original concepts and collaborate across disciplines while delivering exceptional work on time and on brief.

This position works closely with writers, designers, producers, and agency partners. The Manager, Multimedia Design must be comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently, communicating clearly with stakeholders, and adapting creative solutions to meet evolving business needs in an engineering-focused, technology-driven environment.

This is an office-based position in Mexico City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop original 3D and motion concepts aligned to creative briefs, brand identity systems, and business/marketing objectives
  • Design and animate polished 2D motion graphics systems (type, layout, iconography, transitions) that scale across formats and deliverables
  • Build and maintain organized project files, templates, and modular animation systems to support efficiency and consistency across campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and agency teams, incorporating feedback and iterating quickly without compromising quality
  • Manage multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines; communicate progress clearly and proactively
  • Contribute to creative reviews and help raise the overall motion craft through mentorship, best practices, and constructive critique


Required Skills

  • Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy, applied specifically through motion design
  • Deep understanding of brand identity systems and the ability to apply them consistently in motion work across a wide range of deliverables
  • Strong storytelling instincts and ability to convey complex ideas through motion
  • Familiarity with social media formats and best practices, including YouTube and Instagram
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Advanced communications in English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, and provide leadership and guidance in a matrixed environment
  • Self-Motivated problem solver: Proactive and driven, with the ability to take initiative and manage projects independently. Strong problem-solving skills to address technical and creative challenges and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines


Technical Skills

  • Adobe After Effects — mastery for 2D animation, motion design systems, compositing, and VFX workflows
  • Cinema 4D or Blender — proficiency in 3D modeling/animation to support video motion sequences (e.g., product visuals, transitions, stylized 3D elements)
  • Adobe Premiere Pro — expert-level timeline integration and collaboration with editorial workflows
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) — advanced asset creation, layout support, image manipulation, and production design
  • Figma or Adobe XD — motion design for UI/UX storytelling (e.g., interface flows, interaction narratives, feature demonstrations)
  • Frame.io — expert use of review workflows, versioning, and feedback cycles for video production


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing motion creative systems for large-scale launches or campaigns with multiple deliverables and formats
  • Comfort working with technical/product subject matter and translating it into clear, compelling motion narratives
  • Experience collaborating with agencies and cross-functional stakeholders in a brand-governed environment
