General Summary
As a member of Qualcomm’s Audio Systems and R&D team, you will work on tuning and validating end-to-end audio and acoustic solutions on Snapdragon platforms. The role focuses on acoustic tuning, subjective and objective audio quality evaluation, and system-level tuning to meet carrier, customer, and platform KPIs across mobile, XR, compute, IoT, and automotive products.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in audio, acoustics, or related domain.

General Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Execute acoustic and audio feature tuning to meet carrier and customer KPIs.
- Perform subjective and objective evaluation of audio quality using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Analyze audio signal characteristics and validate performance of audio algorithms and use cases.
- Validate Qualcomm audio solutions across hardware and software stacks.
- Troubleshoot and debug audio HW/SW issues at system level.
- Work with HW schematics, audio analog and digital components, and interfaces (Analog Mics, Digital Mics, Speakers and transducers).
- Develop and maintain tuning automation frameworks and scripting workflows for repeatable and scalable tuning.
- Create automation scripts in Python and/or MATLAB for tuning, measurements, data analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, systems, platform, and customer teams for commercialization support.
- Support system-level performance testing, measurements, and demo validation efforts.
- Strong fundamentals in audio signal processing
- Hands-on experience in acoustic tuning and audio feature validation.
- Understanding of audio HW schematics and analog/digital audio components.
- Knowledge of digital audio interfaces and audio subsystem
- Experience probing and analyzing audio signal characteristics.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills across HW and SW layers.
- Programming and scripting skills in Python and/or MATLAB.
- Experience building tuning automation, batch processing, and analysis pipelines is highly desirable.
- Exposure to audio pre/post-processing algorithms (EC/NS, AGC/Limiter, SRC, Speaker Protection, Voice AI features etc.) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using audio analyzers such as ACQUA, Audio Precision (APx), Head Acoustics, or equivalent tools for objective audio and acoustic measurements
- Experience with Qualcomm tools and Qualcomm platforms is a plus
