We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on building the next generation of tools and business systems that support the continued success of Qualcomm’s Technology Licensing (QTL), Legal Operations, and Patent Execution organizations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, system implementation, and production system support. Previous experience in software configuration or development is a must, with experience in SQL, Python and AI Automation solutions a plus. The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- System Implementation and Support: End‑to‑end implementation of modern system solutions by executing the full SDLC using Agile methodologies, from requirement analysis, configuration, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface directly with business owners and subject matter experts to understand objectives and problem statements.
- Requirements Translation: Translate complex business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development and implementation.
- Opportunity Analysis: Analyze and evaluate current IT systems, workflows, and business processes to identify opportunities for automation and enhancements.
- Testing and Validation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assessing model performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Works independently and takes responsibility for their own work.
- Communication and presentation skills to convey complex messages to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.
- Detail oriented and able to independently follow up on action items and commit to deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Working knowledge or exposure to some of the following is a must:
- Experience with modern AI platforms such as Looker, IBM Watson, Data Robot, ChatGPT/Copilot, and other AI‑driven automation tools used for analytics, documentation, workflow automation, and predictive insights.
- Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understand performance and analytic concepts or tools (i.e., Anaplan, TM1).
- Understand logical and physical data modeling, data warehousing architecture, and concepts.
- Understand databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake
- Understanding of other tools such as: Python, Databricks, n8n, Informatica, Glue, Talend, RPA
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in systems analysis, with at least 1-2 years specifically focused on AI/ML projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis, and Python/R for data manipulation.
- AI Knowledge: Understanding of AI/ML concepts (Supervised/Unsupervised Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI/LLMs).
- Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Cloud AI).
- Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills for bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
