The Senior Sourcing Specialist—Contract Manufacturing leads CM sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance for assigned product lines. This role partners cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, Program Management, and Legal to deliver cost‑competitive, scalable, and compliant manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with the ODM/OEM/EMS ecosystem and drives impact across RFQs, cost modeling, contract execution, ramp readiness, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities
CM Sourcing & Supplier Selection
- Develop and execute CM sourcing strategies aligned with cost, capacity, quality, lead time, and risk objectives
- Identify, qualify, and benchmark ODM/OEM/EMS suppliers (Taiwan and regional footprints including SEA/China/India)
- Lead supplier evaluations, site assessments, and scorecard‑based selection decisions
- Own end‑to‑end RFQ/RFP execution: scope definition, bid analysis, normalization, and award recommendations
- Lead negotiations covering labor/overhead models, NRE/tooling, conversion cost, yield assumptions, pricing structures, and payment terms
- Partner with Legal on MSA/SOW, NDAs, quality agreements, and supply terms
- Build should‑cost models (conversion cost, test strategy, tooling amortization, logistics/Incoterms)
- Drive cost‑down initiatives through footprint optimization, yield improvement, alternate sourcing, and commercial renegotiation
- Support NPI and ramp by ensuring suppliers’ readiness for materials, capacity, test strategy, and process controls
- Partner with Engineering and Operations on line bring‑up, critical component readiness, and risk mitigation plans
- Establish supplier governance (QBR/MBR), KPI scorecards, and corrective action processes
- Manage performance across quality, cost, yield, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance
- Serve as the primary sourcing interface for CM‑related decisions
- Present executive‑level updates on sourcing strategy, RFQ outcomes, risks, and negotiations
- Ensure supplier compliance with ethics, labor, EHS, security, and responsible sourcing requirements
- Assess concentration risk and drive business continuity plans
- Individual contributor with high autonomy and ownership of commercial outcomes
- Accountable for RFQ execution, negotiated terms, cost savings, and supplier performance
- May mentor junior team members or lead cross‑functional sourcing taskforces
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of sourcing experience with contract manufacturers (EMS/ODM/OEM)
- Proven RFQ leadership, commercial negotiation, and supplier management experience
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (SMT, system integration, test, pack‑out)
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑influencing skills
- Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency
- Deep familiarity with ODM/OEM/EMS commercial models and operating practices
- Experience with complex hardware and multi‑site manufacturing footprints
- Strong capability in should‑cost modeling, contract structuring, and ramp readiness
- MBA, CPM/CPSM, and Mandarin/English business fluency a plus
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
