About us
Thermosphr is a German startup founded in Berlin in 2020. We cut energy use in commercial buildings by optimising their heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Real estate accounts for roughly 40% of global energy-related CO2 emissions, and most of a commercial building’s energy goes to HVAC, much of it wasted through poor static & reactive
control.
Our service plugs into a building’s existing IT & energy infrastructure (BMS/BACS, GLT in German), with no new hardware. It uses thermal modelling and Model Predictive Control to forecast a building’s
behaviour and adjust HVAC settings in real time, typically reducing energy consumption by around 20 - 30% while significantly improving occupant comfort.
We were founded by Nicolas Le Borgne (CEO), who has spent his career building and scaling B2B
startups, and Dr. Mark Aaron Chan (CTO), a thermal-management specialist with a PhD and
research experience at NASA & General Electric. The team combines HVAC and thermal
engineers, control and data scientists, and BMS specialists across our Berlin, Munich and Paris
offices.
We are the fastest growing actor in our category in Europe, optimising 24/7 +2M square meters
across the most prestigious real estate operators (Brookfield, URW, Klépierre, AEW, Generali, PERIAL, La Française, Accor, Commerzreal, Demire, HBB, Equans, Spie Facilities, BNP Paribas, La Poste
Immobilier, Iroko, HSBC, Arkea, Groupama Immobilier, Ville de Paris, etc.).
We work in small teams, value clear thinking over process, and prefer to under-promise and let
the savings data speak. You will see the impact of your work directly, on the business and on the
buildings we run.

Customer Success & Project Engineers, and prepare and manage pricing proposals.
