The Role

As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll work alongside the head of product, engineers, and other stakeholders to create visually stunning, user-centered designs for our digital products. Expect to have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of the design process, from brainstorming and prototyping to user testing and final product delivery. You’ll play an integral role in shaping the future of our product offerings and enhancing the overall user experience. You will also contribute in shaping marketing content such as our website, slide decks, grant applications, social media etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing User-Centric Interfaces: Create intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces across web and mobile platforms, with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the product manager, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and technical requirements.
  • User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to refine and improve design solutions.
  • Wireframes & Prototypes: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Iterative Design: Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data insights, and team collaboration.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency in design elements and ensure a cohesive visual identity that aligns with our brand values (represented both in the product but also marketing materials such as slide decks, our website and social media).
  • Agile Environment: Work in an agile, fast-paced startup environment with tight deadlines, delivering high-quality work quickly.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in the health tech, startup, or tech industry.
  • Prototyping & Wireframing: Strong skills in creating interactive prototypes and wireframes to visualise design concepts and user flows.
  • User-Centered Design: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating seamless user experiences.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Responsive Design: Experience in designing responsive interfaces for both desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance user needs and business goals.
  • User research: Experience with user research, usability testing, and familiarity with healthcare-related products or industries is a plus.
  • Technical Tools Expertise: Proficient in Figma (including use of prototyping, style libraries etc). Experience working with Confluence and Jira is a plus.
  • WCAG accessibility standards: Experience following the WCAG standards.
