Software Engineering

Tonk is building a new software paradigm: "Tonks" that run offline, sync seamlessly when online, and give users full control of their data. These local-first programs are lightweight, collaborative, and work without relying on centralized cloud infrastructure. Tonk’s platform enables developers to discover, use, create, publish, and share these programs. The result is a new ecosystem of resilient, privacy-friendly software that feels fast, works anywhere, and keeps ownership where it belongs—with the user.
