At Transcelestial, we are building a space laser communication network to deliver the future of Internet Distribution worldwide. Founded in Dec 2016, the Transcelestial team is located in Singapore and is backed by major investors such as Wavemaker Partners, EDBI, Airbus Ventures, Cap Vista, SEEDS Capital (Enterprise SG), Entrepreneur First and others. Right now, we are using the free space optics laser communication technology to provide a rapidly deployable, affordable, low cost and high speed Last Mile Connectivity solution, CENTAURI, which speeds up adoption of 4G and 5G globally.

Bring the best version of yourself. We are seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join our highly technical team and contribute to designing, testing, and prototyping innovative concepts for our upcoming laser communication product. In this role, you will help project teams in generating ideas and bringing them to life through prototyping, 2D digital sketching, and 3D CAD modeling. The ideal candidate possesses a natural aptitude for creativity and problem-solving, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills you will need:
- Proficient in crafting and conveying design concepts using 3D design software, emphasizing innovative solutions with complex CAD surface modeling and design.
- Skilled in transforming ideas into tangible prototypes or mock-ups, with a deep understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and product development strategies.
- Strong grasp of how aesthetics and functionality intertwine with ergonomics, human factors, and user experience to shape the design’s impact.
