Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist design team to select components based on supply chain availability
• Reviewing designs released by engineering team and conduct DFM analysis of designs. Coordinate with supplier to discuss new designs and share the feedback with design team to make changes
• Creating DFM documents working with design, Quality and suppliers
• Sourcing suppliers as per parts required
• Floating RFQs and get quotations for required parts
• Evaluate supplier based on various factors such as capacity, processes, capabilities, etc
• Calculate product cost based on zero based costing
• Negotiate and finalize the best possible quotes and get it approved from approvers
• Visit the suppliers and get parts developed as per requirement
• Prepare detailed SOP of manufacturing process and assist supplier to develop parts
• Assist supplier quality in PPAP and audit processes
• Make agreements with supplier for critical parts
• Make approved supplier list and supplier database for all suppliers sourced

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing science and components manufacturing process like sheet metal fabrication, machining, surface coatings, heat treatment, injection molding.
• Must know how to conduct DFM analysis for sheet metal fabrication and machining parts
• Must able to read and understand drawings as per GDNT standards
• Must have network of sheet metal fabrication and machining suppliers preferably in Pune
• Must able to evaluate supplier and select right supplier as per business needs
• Must able to calculate part cost of sheet metal fabrication, Machining parts based on zero based costing and should have knowledge of process cost
• Must able to understand and make supplier agreements
• Should have knowledge of MS excel and MS word
• Good Communication Skills
• Good Negotiation Skills
• Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct and Ethics, ensuring all business dealings and sourcing decisions are made with integrity, transparency, and fairness

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of Solid edge/CAD to make small changes in design
• Knowledge of programming software’s like Delcam

Eligible candidates:

• Desired Qualification: BE/B-tech Mechanical engineering
• Work Experience: 3-6 years
