About the Role
As a Validation Engineer L3, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our robotic systems as they move from development to real-world deployment. You will own system-level validation by designing scalable test frameworks, validating software, firmware, and hardware interactions, and driving test execution on real robotic platforms.
This role requires strong hands-on involvement with hardware, deep collaboration with engineering and integration teams, and the ability to think beyond test execution to improve validation strategies, tools, and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks early, validate system behavior under real-world and failure scenarios, and ensure our products meet quality, safety, and certification standards before reaching customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement robust test frameworks for robotic systems, including direct control and testing of real hardware.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues, perform root cause analysis, and create detailed evaluation and test reports.
• Lead end-to-end test processes and communicate results effectively to relevant stakeholders with proper documentation.
• Define expected results and validation criteria for re-testing across multiple product variants.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain test infrastructure, including reviewing, modifying, and upgrading existing test tools, frameworks, and protocols.
• Perform software and firmware testing using Python, ROS, and embedded firmware environments.
• Provide technical support to product development teams throughout the development and validation lifecycle.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with engineering, integration, and field teams to validate and troubleshoot deployed systems.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support system testing, issue resolution, and documentation of real-world deployments.
• Conduct user-based testing, fault-injection testing, and safety validation to ensure system robustness and compliance.
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with motion control systems, material handling systems, or robotic platforms.
• Strong understanding of ROS with basic programming experience in C, C++, or Python.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Good knowledge of documentation practices and certification or compliance standards.
• Proficiency in JIRA or equivalent issue and project tracking tools.
Good to Have:
• Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile or Scrum-based development environment.
