ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology. You will be embedded within an active project environment — supporting cross-functional teams, driving delivery discipline, and developing the foundational skills required to lead complex programs. Grounded in PMI, Agile, and hybrid delivery frameworks, this role is designed to build future-ready project leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
  • Coordinate and facilitate in-depth project reviews, follow up on action items from meetings and workshops for end-to-end project execution.
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining a healthy project pipeline — tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Assist in building and maintaining project charters, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and RACI matrices.
Meetings, Workshops & Communication
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and workshops with structured agendas; capture accurate meeting minutes, decisions, and action items.
  • Prepare stakeholder-ready status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries (weekly/monthly cadences).
  • Draft clear project communications — announcements, risk alerts, change notifications — tailored to different audience levels.
Tracking, Reporting & Data
  • Track business and technical deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID log management).
  • Keep project plans, schedules, and trackers up to date in real time using Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent PM tools.
  • Build simple dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Smartsheet to surface project health metrics.
  • Support post-project retrospectives and capture lessons learned to feed into continuous improvement cycles.
Agile & Process Improvement
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to process mapping and optimization initiatives — identify bottlenecks and propose workflow improvements.
  • Support change management activities including stakeholder impact assessments and training coordination.
AI, Digital & Innovation
  • Explore and apply AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Notion AI) to automate repetitive PM tasks.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by documenting current-state processes and helping design future-state workflows.
  • Contribute ideas for improving team productivity through emerging technologies and best practices from the PM community.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Background
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering in mechanical or related field.
  • Knowledge in project management, supply chain management, or operations — academic or professional experience both valued.
  • Exposure to PM frameworks: PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus (not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to diverse stakeholders confidently.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills — able to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities — comfort with ambiguity and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Growth mindset — proactively seeks feedback, learns quickly, and adapts to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
Tools & Technology: Nice to Have
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with PM tools:
  • Smartsheet (project tracking, dashboards, automations)
  • Jira (Agile boards, backlog management, issue tracking)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint storytelling, Word)
  • Exposure to any of the following is a bonus:
  • Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, or Confluence
  • Power BI or Tableau for data visualization
  • AI tools: Copilot, Notion AI, ChatGPT for productivity
