We’re looking for a Specialist Chemotherapy Practice Development Nurse to play a vital role in supporting patients receiving oncology therapies. You’ll deliver patient education, administer treatments, and provide ongoing support—ensuring each patient has a safe, positive, and empowering experience.

The role will be based in the South West.

You will be educating and supporting patients and carers to safely self-administer oncology medications (oral, IV, and other therapies). Provide tailored patient support through home visits, clinics, and telephone follow-ups in line with clinical protocols. Perform line care for IV oncology patients, ensuring safety and treatment readiness. Monitor blood results and liaise with consultants on treatment decisions. Assess home environments for suitability for IV treatment. Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other relevant IV therapies.

A full UK driving licence is required

Key Skills Required:
 NMC registration as a qualified nurse.
 Strong oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration, cannulation, and phlebotomy skills.
 Excellent communication skills with the ability to make complex medical information clear and reassuring.
 A detail-focused, patient-centred approach with strong organisational skills.
 Knowledge of NHS systems and cancer care pathways.
