Role Information

Sciensus are seeking a Responsible Person (RP) to join our Quality team. Its a hybrid working role, coming into our Burton office at least 2 days a week, with travel to our other UK sites as and when required.

As our Responsible Person (RP), you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding patient safety by ensuring the highest standards of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) across our operations.

This is your opportunity to shape quality standards, influence key stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, patient-focused organisation.

What You’ll Do

Champion Quality & Compliance

Ensure our Quality Management System (QMS) is fully implemented, effective, and continually improved.
Oversee GDP training programmes, documentation accuracy, and operational compliance.
Approve suppliers, customers, and subcontracted partners relevant to GDP.

Protect Patient Safety

Lead recall operations in collaboration with the Chief Pharmacist and internal stakeholders.
Manage and approve the disposition of returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products.
Investigate, sign off, and advise on temperature excursions and incidents.

Drive Audit Excellence

Conduct internal GDP audits and external supplier audits.
Support third-party inspections and regulatory assessments (MHRA, GPhC, clients).
Ensure corrective actions are effective and timely.

Build Strong Relationships

Work closely with external regulators and client partners.
Collaborate with internal teams across Operations, Compliance, and Commercial.
Influence and guide senior stakeholders to uphold GDP and patient safety standards.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in GDP environments and operational leadership.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Experience delivering change projects and improving services.
The ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
A relevant degree or professional qualification.
